I know stimming is a kind of rocking but is it a concious (forced) action or is it a repetitive action that is more like a deeper modulation movement of the body ?

So you've had a bad time of it, you've quit your last job because the company converged and the new environment was horrible, they wanted to constructively make you leave, plus the girl you sat next to was making 'a project' out of you, analysing your every move, you've lost your confidence, your pr...

Indeed. The interesting part for me is the huge dynamic between these options - I am fairly confident and high functioning autistic person but recently I have that feeling of being 'unemployable', I live in Cambridge UK and there's this sense in the world of office jobs that it's a 'rat race' and th...

I feel for you Alex. I too am finding it hard in society to interact at work. I recently handed in my notice because I couldn't stand the environment but I am tenderly looking for all types of jobs, it's difficult out there. I stayed in the same place for 6 years, didn't always like it and had no pr...

does anyone have like 'bookmarked' moments in the day sensations of anxiety doing certain things? - like there's a few screens I need to open in order to get to my AOL email, everytime I do it I have these fears, and when the 'please wait' screen comes up I get anxious until my eyes dart to the numb...

Hi I used to do this at school. One piece of advice is 'to see it coming' before it's happened, if that makes sense. Try to laugh it off within yourself at the moment you feel that excruiciating self-conciousness, draw the attention to something like coughing, or body twitching, checking your pencil...

exactly i'm still on the Johnny Depp topic with this in mind, he does what I do, I do what he does. Getting inside characters - all the other deep information seems to just come naturally, a bit spooky. After watching zillions of Depp interviews I haven't found his real accent yet, sometimes it subt...

despite the problems you are having, you seem to have a sense of humour, and especially with the crying, bless you. Have you considered acting? I would say it's a gift to cry at a drop of a hat, please don't take that the wrong way, sometimes it's possible to turn unusual, troubling things like this...

Sometimes it's good to talk to oneself, I don't know about you but when I wake up and start to think (get anxious about what the day is), when i'm creating the images and sensations at the start of the day - say to yourself 'it's ok', when you start to worry about something it's because you've forgo...

Hi, I just got back with being with my Dad and my grandparents, I had a nice time although i'm very different from the rest of my family. It just occurred to me that I feel more at ease with life and more belonging to the world when i'm in Neverland i.e in my own dream world - home alone. I feel mor...
