I'm just sad. I never thought I would be lucky enough to marry a beautiful woman, but here I am with the person I intend to spend the rest of my life with. I can't get over the fact that my wife will be out partying on a Friday night, but I will be sitting at home. I can't get enough people together... |

My (now) husband was there when my dad told me. I had recognized my son was like me, but didn't know exactly what it was. My husband has some traits, and acknowledged to with me. I see what you're saying, but I'm talking more about when you're dating someone new and you don't want to scare them off... |

Yes, same problem here. I stick to soft t shirts and loose pants. I recently got into the company Wildfang. Tomboyish clothes with no frilly nonsense. |

I think you misunderstood me. I meant disclosure to your date. Unless your date knew you when you were a toddler, but that would be weird. |

When did you come out to your significant other? How did you do it? Do you think you have a dependable method to help others? So I know many people wonder at what point in a relationship is a good time to come out as autistic. I've tried a variety of things with some success. On one hand, if you com... |

Well you'd of course need more to go on if you want an actual diagnosis. It's normal for neurotypical preteens and teenagers to spend a lot of time in their room. Kids in general don't have a lot of interest in socializing with their mom's friends. |

Sounds like me. But I also actually get disgusted/uncomfortable when someone tries to get close to me too fast. Is it a part of this? That's definitely true for me as well. There is nothing worse than someone who tries to move too fast. I need so much time. That last person I dated moved too fast. ... |

Basically fake it until you make it. Who knows, maybe that attraction will kick in sooner if you're in a relationship. True that's pretty much what I do. It's just time consuming though. I mean, most people know if the other person is right after like three dates. Here I am trying to figure s**t ou... |

Demisexual: someone who can only experience sexual attraction after they first form a strong emotional attachment. For me, it can take months. I don't experience "crushes" or "love at first site". I don't even know if I'm attracted to someone until I've been dating them for a whi... |

Yes! I think there's truth to the belief that autistic people can have low muscle tone and struggle with coordination, but both of these things can be acquired with enough practice. Some people are naturally born with these attributes, but plenty acquire them. I was one of those unathletic autistic ... |

I hope I find my peace soon . I have been worried about this and I don't like to be. Before I even looked up all this, I was completely neutral to any of my "boyish" ways. I tend to do that and obsess over it for a while until it naturally fades away. Thank you for your advice. It has cal... |

Scientists and others who follow a peer-review system are pressured to have data to back up their opinions. If you don't have data, you don't have a right to an opinion; it will not be taken seriously. Academics follow the data. If the numbers lead to a specific political conclusion, then it's impor... |

Thank you. Can I know more about what worried about back then? And how you came to peace with yourself? Additionally, I would say I'm probably bisexual, but I don't think that has anything to do with this. Lol The problem starts when you're a baby and others take one look at your genitalia and pres... |

You have absolutely nothing to worry about. My advice is to not force yourself to commit to a label. I'm also a tomboy female. I sometimes get mistaken for a man, but I don't really care how people gender me. I'm 29 years old, but when I was your age, I worried about the same thing. Just have fun wi... |

I write about how much depression sucks. Then I write about smashing it to smithereens with a morningstar. It's not just about thinking it. Writing is absolutely necessary for the technique to work. |
