Jogging/running is my poison of choice, but it does require a degree of coordination. |

I wouldn't rule yoga out ... it's pretty easy to design a complete yoga program that require no balance (everything is done sitting or lying down). There are numerous schools and traditions within the umbrella of yoga. Some of the follow a strict standardized set of asanas (poses). Others are very m... |

I've never found alcohol particularly pleasant. The buzz from 2-3 beers just makes me feel nervous and awkward. So I don't drink socially. I have never been drunk enough to have a headache the following day. I do have an occasional glass of wine or beer with a good dinner, but that's about it. I pro... |

Good luck with the big M. The marathon is still a distant dream for me ... maybe in 2012, we'll see.

I got into long distance running last august, and last week I finished my first half marathon race (21 km/13 miles) in 1 hour 46 minutes :D I used to be a total couch potato ... what little interest in exercise I possibly had as a kid was beaten out of me in the school PE torture. It took me 20 year... |

I did the longer test, and scored 66 (subscale % 1) 8O 8O 8O Damn, I thought I was doing very well, and answering the questions with the "right" answers rather than the "what I would feel" answers ... I was officially diagnosed last year at age 35, but I am not sure if the diagnosis is correct. On one level it does make sense, but I still feel that my pre-diagnosis self-diagnosis as a lazy & anxiety-riddled NT is actually correct and the AS diagnosis is wrong. Unfortunately I am not sure this... |

I was diagnosed at 35 by a neuropsychiatrist as 'very high functioning' AS. Personally I have my doubts; I suspect it's just the end result of being highly introverted and neurotic, leading to little social experience and a fear or, well, most things including eye contact. I don't feel much of a nee... |

Damn, I hopes this would be a thread about long runs (over 10 miles/15 km). I find them rather beneficial for my mood, as long as everything goes well; no injuries developing or blood sugar crashing. |

You sound like you're already trying plenty hard. But you know that already. Not meeting criteria developed by and meant for someone with different wiring is NOT your fault, and getting frustrated, anxious and depressed about that isn't your fault, either. I've been there with the depression/anxiet... |

I was diagnosed at 35. Until my early 30s I didn't really think anything was wrong as such, since I did not see other's behaving that differently. I did wonder why people bothered being so social when it is so hard, and where all their energy to do stuff comes from. In the 5 years leading up to the ... |

I'm in favor of legalizing pot (booze and tobacco should be more strictly controlled imo). I don't see any reason not do use cannabis for its medicinal properties. I do, however, strongly disapprove of recreational users posing at medicinal users. F"&%¤#"K you for making life for genuine medicin... |

My social life is very sparse. It just never enters my mind to want to do social things. Any socialization I do is initiated by others - like holiday dinners or concerts at my kids schools. This is my situation too. I have a fair amount of social anxiety, but I dont know if it's the cause of this o... |
