Yes Scoots you find casein in milk, cheese and everything is coming from milk. According the D.A.N.! researchers and doctors many neurological problems come from a metabolic function not working properly and releasing in the blood flow, peptides that damage some brain areas. But if you want to know ... |

I don't know if this is a common thing that happens among apsies, but today, like many days after I have eaten something. I go through a period where I become rather restless. Somedays are worse than others. Today was a bad day. I went through a period of intense stimming as I could not settle my b... |

Absolutely yes! It is OCD, but along with my social difficulties, it can make at least "traits of asperger". Moreover my son is PDD. It can't be a case... |

I scored 22...Indeed I'm aware that I have many characteristics that are often considered as the opposite of what should be the "asperger-type" (for instance high creativity, diplomacy, sensitivity to other people feelings...), but I've also many other asperger features... I'm not obsessed but I can tell you that I started to be interested in politics when I was 7 or 8 years old. I knew everything about the political parties, the politicians, internal issues and foreign affairs. I had my own ideas. I was the only one in my elementary school to write homeworks about po... |

Hi Arashi, I'm from Italy and I'm living exactly your situation. I found out I may have asperger traits "thanks" to my son PDD diagnosis. Actually I felt relaxed understanding better myself. I don't know if for you was the same. On the other hand now I'm just totally focused on my son, and I found q... |

My son is PDD and he got 7 at the Apgar test, that is not very high but I'm sure the actual result should have been even lower and it was disguised by the doctors to avoid possible future troubles. Indeed I was there and I remember that my son did'nt cry for very long minutes and he was yellowish. H... |

They are two actually: - the fact that I can't go out from my home if I don't feel everything is in perfect order (that is in MY order) - the fact I don't want other people in my home cause I'm afraid they could move my things from "their" place and at the same time they could notice the maniacal an... |

Yes ! exactly like you ! I keep problems and worries to myself. My wife is now accepting it, but it was very difficult for her, at the beginning, to understand my silences... my absence. She doesn't know almost anything about my daily life at work.. It is like I consider a symptom of weakness the fa... |

Very good topic ! Yes, I agree with the most of you: though I know how to keep a conversation even in difficult situations (people I don't know or I've not been seeing for a long tine) I don't like answering at the phone: it is still a big stress for me. I have two systems to "protect" myself: at ho... |

Here in the Continental Europe (Italy, France, Germany, Spain, all the former Warsaw Pact countries...) the Labor Day is the first of May and it is celebrated to remeber the workers that died fighting for their rights and their safety in the first part of last century. When I join a conversation it is mostly for social convenience (I'm sitting with other people or I'm in a group). I know it is not a good thing to be silent in a corner so I "have to" say something. But my real feeling is that what I could say is not interesting for other people, even if I know that... |
