Sometimes in the past when I have gone to a party I was invited to, I walked in, saw all the little groups, and then turned around, pretending I had forgotten something, and walked out and gone home. |

I think Jack didn't want to invite Jill and didn't think she would know about the party. When Peter pumpkin eater stepped in Jack was 'backed into a corner' in that he didn't want to appear to be rude, especially because there was a third party (Peter) witnessing the exchange. So he made the concess... |

I occasionally get invited to social things. But even though I would like to go, I don't because the thought of arriving somewhere by myself, and walking in, and there are people standing around in little groups.. The idea of it just makes me feel a bit nauseous. I don't know what I am supposed to d... |

I have had very few female friends in my life. I get along much better with males for some reason.
I have had only 2 females in my life who I would say were genuine friends. Interestingly they identified as bisexual or lesbian. |

I think that most NT people are only kind to people whom they think can benefit them in some way. |

People often append the words 'it is for your own good', or 'I am trying to help you' to a statement that is just nasty and hateful. They only do it because they really want to be nasty - the part added to the end is just to try stop you from being able to say anything back to them. Your aunt is not... |

When you sosialize with neurotypicals, what do you get out of it? I'm asking because frankly, I don't understand it. I myself have a tight-knit asperger support group and mainly socialize with other aspies from it You are extremely lucky. Most people don't have that so they have to try to make soci... |

I want to have conversations with people but I get nervous and tongue tied. I think I am out of practice and it is getting harder. |

I am really sorry to hear this.
It is a very cruel way to behave. I hate to say it, but the behaviour suggests that there is a third person involved.
You will meet someone else. |

It depends on the way they say it.
Cute doesn't always mean something nice. I remember the venomous, sarcastic way my stepmother would say 'very cute', to me. The way she said it, it meant something like 'I would like to stab you to death and then throw your corpse to the cess pit rats'. |

Yes, it's actually embarassing as some of these people are facebook friends (though we never talk). I am single, make $11/hr, live at home, usually people don't even like my statuses. I would be so ashamed to admit if anything, I seem worse off than I used to. Facebook is just a place to remind me ... |

I thought I wanted a boyfriend too but I had a partner who was abusive and nasty. He cheated and finally dumped me.
I don't think I can go through that again. I am still not over it.
All that glitters is not gold. |
