To be honest I really have a hard time getting into many stand up comedians period anymore. Sometimes people like Richard Pryor can still make me chuckle but so many of them just use their comedy as platforms to talk about their exaggerated personal lives, political opinions or about how they hate ...

http://lh5.ggpht.com/-B4MT7uz1aT8/R-iXpY47PEI/AAAAAAAACJI/BSXn3Z7FjTk/Hedwig_And_The_Angry_Inch.jpg I enjoyed this, especially the music. But even though the ending had a sense of optimism, I was unsure how to feel about it. I guess it's what you call a "bittersweet" ending: Terrible things have ha...

As a longstanding Hulk geek, I was thrilled with the movie. After two mediocre Hulk solo movies, I'm so happy that someone finally put the green goliath onscreen the way he's meant to be. Thank you, Joss Whedon! Easily my new favorite superhero movie. Not as cerebral as The Dark Knight , but a lot m...

Nearly finished with this, and I hate to see it end. Murakami is brilliant. Good thing Murakami is such a prolific writer. You'll be completely sick of him before you run out of his books . . . then there's plenty of cool authors who are also po-mo, or also Japanese to switch to afterwards. I want ...

Modern film marketing just blows my mind. This isn't the trailer for the remake of Total Recall . It's the teaser for the trailer. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to "get ready" for a trailer, but that's what this teaser wants me to do. Should I go to the store and get some supplies? Tell me what to ...

Terminator 2. I've watched it many times, but I still get teary-eyed when Arnold's Terminator says goodbye to John and Sarah at the end.

Absolutely, you should. I generally prefer prose to poetry, but I like your work. You write good clean lines and make your meaning easily understood. And the words are obviously heartfelt. I did spot what I believe is a typo in "Silent After Midnight": You rhyme "beat" with "care". It's probably sup...

Long ago, when I saw Halloween 4 in the theater, the ending really surprised me. Michael Myers's traumatized niece picks up a pair of scissors and stabs her foster mother in the bathroom. It didn't really make sense, but I thought it was a good creepy ending. It's still one of my favorite bad-but-fu...

I do not know if I mentioned it before, but my facial structure has an uncanny resemblance with Darkseid's.

Sadly, we don't have a very good view of the ocean here in Indiana. But if I walk outside, I can stare at a very large gurgling water fountain in the courtyard of my apartment complex. :P Actually, I like the sound it makes. Sort of soothing.
