I'm not religious but I obsess about religion. I think constantly about why we exist, why anything exists, how should we live, does it matter how we live, what is true, what is evil, what is good, why can people believe something when I find it impossible, why can people be atheist when I find it im...

I admire people who are truly compassionate and kind to others and actually mean it.

I also admire bravery, and the ability to speak the truth when it is unpopular.

I'm pretty sure I experienced autistic burnout after working in retail for a long time. I pushed myself daily to conform and act outside my abilities and true nature. I had periods of depression and increasing anxiety over time, and ended up being unable to work at all, for the last 9 years now.

I'm part way through an assessment with norfolk and suffolk. It took several years of persistence with the mental health team to get this far. I believe though that you can self refer to them, or go through a GP. I couldn't really say how good or bad they are, but they seem fairly thorough. You can ...

I will be attending my first diagnostic interview with a psychologist next week, and I've been reading about the difference between the DSMs IV and V, and the ICD-10. It seems like people in the UK should be assessed using the ICD, but I wonder if this is actually reflected in reality. Have you been...

Congratulations on your diagnosis rebbieh. Can I just ask, you may have said this somewhere else and I apologise if you have, are you in the UK? I ask because I was surprised to hear how many appointments you had, and how long it took to get a diagnosis. I am going to my first diagnostic appointment...

All countries have their pros and cons, UK, Australia, USA, all of them. I like my country, but I don't feel superior to anyone else.
This thread is a bit strange.
