One time, while at a particularly bad doctor's office, the doctor randomly whipped out his tape measure, said I had a large head, ADD and then left the room because his cell phone rang.

...yeah. I never went back.

This has happened to me as well at work. I have people tell me "You could at least LOOK like you want to be here. Smile or something." I have a hard time at work. I got the job through the capabilities program, and although some know about it, not all of them do. I don't want special treatment, I ju...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice, but I DID take things in with me. The woman just refused to look or acknowledge them.

Yes, I am 19. I'm doing my best. I've had a lot of experience with doctors because of all my medical issues, and I DO always take something in with me. Sometimes, they just refuse to look at it. I currently don't have insurance right now, so I'm struggling and have to stick with the family service d...

Well that sucked. What are you supposed to do when you can barely talk in front of people, and they want you to tell you your symptoms, and you can't explain them? All they hear is "anxiety". I even told her my sensory problems, which was the only thing she didn't write down. I was very upset and my...

Thanks everyone. It's just a huge problem for me to describe how I'm feeling, I guess. Many would say that I can be good at it until they get to know me and realize that none of the words I use are my own. I wasn't even able to describe my feelings with a word other than depression until 9th grade w...

I have my first appointment tomorrow with a new doctor. I go through family services, so I'm not sure of this persons label, but I'm fairly sure they're a psychiatrist since she prescribes medication. I recently got a new therapist, and after talking it over with my Mom they're almost positive that ...

While it IS easy to push a stroller up to the car, imagine a single Mother who doesn't have a stroller and relies on a shopping cart to put her car seat into. Is she supposed to carry the car seat(which weigh a ridiculous amount and are extremely awkwardly shaped) all the way across the parking lot...

My dad has a permanent physical disability, so he uses the disabled parking, but I don't know if I would use it on my own. Our shopping malls also have special parking for seniors, pregnant people, and people with babies. Senior parking I can understand. I thought walking was good for pregnant peop...

You could probably find the average of anything online if you looked for it.

I just thought randomly, I wonder how many noodles are in a box of mac n cheese?

The answer is about 500.

No medication needed. 3 - Annoying enough to be distracting. Mild painkillers take care of it. (Aspirin, Ibuprofen.) 4 - Can be ignored if ...

Anti-Depressants made me extremely manic and I will NOT go on one again unless it is absolutely my last choice.

Prozac was the worst. I was absolutely NUTS on Prozac.
