So, what do you other guys do to feel manly? How do you handle your masculinity, etc? I don't really get it. Why would I have a need of "handling" my masculinity? Does it have a tendency to get out of control or something? If I have to do something special to feel manly, doesn't that imply that I w...

If someone tells a joke that's not funny, I simply don't laugh (unless they're holding a gun, always do what the guy with the gun wants...). If someone gets upset I might ask them "why are you upset?" If they can explain why, fair enough, if not, I just tell them "So you're upset for no good reason?...

When you have to deal with the normals, make a game of it. Pretend you're a spy and need to blend in with the natives. Or that it's a role playing game and you earn XP for each new social skill you can master. Normals like superficial stuff, so give them a show! Talk about boring stuff like weather,...

Story of my life. "Why did you do that?" "Why can't you be like everyone else?" "Why do you do [task] so unusually?" "What do you mean by that?" It really breaks down your self esteem to constantly be questioned. It's only lately that I've come to understand that it needs to be rebuilt. I was right ...

Personally, I don't have a lack of empathy. I have a LOT of empathy. The problem for me is interaction with the outside world. * How to read people good enough that you actually understand that they are in pain or in need of empathy. * Or the problem of how to SHOW your empathy and when it is approp...

268. No one cares about you. They care about themselves. How does having contact with you benefit them? If you want to connect with them, you need to focus on them. Keep in mind that a benefit may be more complex than just money or attention. Charity, for example, also have some kind of hidden selfi...

What's worse is that people are falling for it! Ask any apple devotee why they paid twice as much for the same machine and youll get an answer about "the programming being more elegant" or "the interface being more intuitive" or "these are built for creative thinkers". And it's the exact same machi...

It's a pity that you have to end up in such a serious situation so early. But on the other hand, what is done is done, you have a baby and now the entire purpose of your life is to make sure that your baby will get the best possible upbringing in this f****d up world. Make sure you have some kind of...

Smile a lot. Practice smiling. I have trouble getting the muscular coordination correct, so I need to practice it. Make eye contact. This is a big one for aspies to overcome, but it's very valuable to master. Alternate between the mouth, and each eye and stay on each location between 1 and 3 seconds...

ion, given that a Tibet under the lamas would be a theocracy, I think a discussion of theocracy is not irrelevant - but in any case I brought it up when you said the Chinese government is the most evil organisation in the world and I brought up the Saudi monarchy and al-Qaeda as counterexamples. Spare me the logical fallacies. I challenge you to expose them. Straw man: Person A has position X. Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of X). Person B attacks position Y. Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed. You keep putting words in my mouth and discredit what I say based...
