Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Is it true some aspies are homicidal?

Some people are just homicidal. Anyone who is bullied and picked on could become homicidal, regardless of whether or not they're NT or an Aspergian. Anyone can become homicidal, for that matter, regardless of what happens in their life. I don't think there's a correlation between Asperger's and homi...

I do the same thing with people, even my family. I get irritated when people ask me obvious questions (or questions that are obvious to ME, at least) that they should most definitely know (in my opinion). I sometimes recognize that I'm being an as*hole and stop, but other times I don't realize it an...

I have a few low level stims. I have a visual stim that basically involves following the lines of objects. I shake my hand, It isn't exactly like hand flapping but it's similiar. It's less obvious though. Oh, wow. I never even thought of that. You know the road lines? Sitting in the passenger seat,...

Yeah, stimming. I'm not very well versed on the lingo. I'm also typing from my phone, and Swype apparently doesn't have "tic" in the dictionary. Didn't even notice I was typing "tick." Hahaha!

I had a one on one session for an hour with the adult liason officer at autism NZ, she said if I went for a formal DX that I'd probably get diagnosed with HFA. That was good enough for me. If you ask about, you may be able to find a free service that would confirm what you need to know, without nee...

Do you rock back and forth? I'll do that with my upper body when I'm sitting, my leg if I'm laying, or my whole body, on the balls of my feet, while standing. Standing it isn't very noticeable (at least, I don't think it is), but everything else is. Do any of you do that? I've never met anyone (not ...

I'm a little iffy on it. Calling someone an "aspie" is quite a lot easier than calling someone a "person with Asperger syndrome". I like it for that reason, but it seems like... it seems like... I'm having trouble explaining it, but it seems to me sort of like "gay pride". Don't get me wrong, I have...

My mom's older TV has this extremely high pitched whine that only I can hear. I have a newer TV that has a high pitched whine as well, but it's not as loud and I can get used to it.

My mom's TV, though, I can't even be in the same room with it on or I go crazy.

Meatloaf is absolutely putrid to me. I'm on your side on this one. I can't STAND the stuff. Just SMELLING it can make me gag.

I also hate pork, most sweet things, fast food, and most "canned" things. You know those frozen "dinners"? I can't even imagine eating them for dinner. Ugh.

For those of us who figured out about Asperger's later in life, remember frantically searching everything that has to do with Asperger's online, for hours on end? I still do, many years later. Things keep changing regarding Aspergers. Here's to that. Though, I guess partaking in a forum like WP cou...

A quiet NT might work as well, though. A full blown NT is out of question. This seems a little extreme to me. I call into question the definition of a "full-blown" NT. NT individuals aren't carbon-copies of each other, and I'm sure one can be quiet, and be entirely "full-blown." An aspie with someo...

That's a good point, yeah. I won't say that. I've been thinking that I have Asperger's syndrome for years now, and I just recently took some tests online... the symptoms, the tests, and how they relate to me makes me so sure it is Asperger's, but you're right. I'll be saying it that way. Thank you v...

I figured I should probably talk to someone about this. I don't know if I should be posting this here or in The Haven, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I'd appreciate it if you could possibly move it to the correct forum if I'm posting it in the incorrect place? Anyway, to begin, I'm 21...
