I've been looking into Square Pegs and Redmond/Eastside-Aspergers for awhile but Square Pegs doesn't have meet ups around the Redmond/Woodinville area and Redmond/Eastside-Aspergers only has a couple people attending each meet up (at least according to the meet up page online). Is there any chance o...

I also started becoming very afraid of germs, food poisoning, and vomit/vomiting. I had food poisoning when I was five so that might be part of it. I do such a good job at avoiding the flu that I have never gotten it, even when my whole family did. I dread flu season. I have only thrown up once in t...

I think it's a way of getting sensory imput and having control over sensory imput. For example when I stim with my hands it seems to help my brain understand where my hands are.

That's rather ignorant of them. You should tell them. [quote]That's like me saying; "You should realize, your dislike of living alone indefinitely is because of millions of years of social emotions drummed into you by evolution. You should try to overcome it."

Maybe you could alter a normal sit and spin so that it has a larger less likely to tip over bass. You could probably do this by just screwing a piece of plywood to the base.

You might want to look in to listening therapy as well as OT. I have been doing OT for 8 months and I think for me it has helped mostly with my social skills and tactile defensiveness. I am doing listening therapy for my hearing but I am just on my 3rd week, so I am not sure how it is working yet.

I think that could be a stim, or it could be a tick. I have had both types at some point in my life. To me it seems like I have more control over stims and they normally make my sensory problems feel better, I hardly have any control over ticks and they do not usually make me feel better, they are j...

Do not worry too much. Just be yourself, and if yourself does indeed have asperger's then a decent psychologist who specializes in ASD should recognize that you have it

As far as I know about being developmentally average or ahead, is that's what makes it asperger's, and not HFA.

I don't like 4 very much, it's not the worst but I don't love it, interestly I really like 3+1 but not 4 even though they are kind of the sa...
