Does it help if someone prompts you? (eg asking 'do you want to play Minecraft' or something) Not really :( It feels more like I have to build up a required amount of neurotransmitters of the appropriate type before I unlock the desire. When I want to exercise, for example, I have to think about it...

Anhedonia and avolition are symptoms of StPD? I didn't know that. I thought those were schizoid traits. Not schizoid at all. Schizoid and Schizophrenia are not related at all, whereas Schizotypal is on the mild end of the schizophrenia spectrum. Avolition and anhedonia are far more common symptoms ...

Schizotypal is nothing to be 'afraid' of. On the spectrum of Schizo disorders, it can be fairly mild...certainly not as recognizable as Asperger's. Most Schizo disorders appear in late teen early 20s. For me, I was rather 'normal' in my early years and as a teen. It was only after going to universit...

So I've been a member of this board for a few years, but haven't visited in a while. Previously, I had been diagnosed with Aspergers, but upon visiting a new (and better) psychiatrist, it turns out my mental health issues are Schizotypal Personality Disorder (which shares a lot of symptoms with Aspe...

it's possible you might not be borderline. i am and i dissociate a whole lot and have extremely unstable mood and relationships. autistic stuff makes it more difficult for me to maintain relationships but it is not the source of instability. also, an overwhelming amount of people with borderline ar...

It's not about being picky. #4 is the brick wall. You may meet someone, hang out, and not ever realize they are interested in you.

Sorry for posting to this late, but I thought I'd share my experience. After many, many trials, I finally found medication that helps with impulsiveness and general anxiety. Effexor (Venlafaxine) is the name...but it didn't start working properly until about 300mg. At low dosage is acts like an SSRI...

I've had a very active sex life...like nine different girls in a matter of three years. One of those years was reserved for a special someone but when she cheated and I outsted her, it was back to the ol grind. I probably sound horrible because of the way I just put that, but these flings were neve...

Dude, you're not going to want to hear this but there's a lot of things going against this working out. Right now you're in the friendzone. At your age, that is likely to lead nowhere as everyone is running on hormones. Secondly, she seems to have some issues herself...poorly choosing boyfriends. Sh...

Killing 9 people in 3 years makes you a bad person. Making love to 9 people in 3 years makes you wonderful and alive.

ComicCon... San Diego.

Any of these sorts of conventions are great places to meet people. I was at Gen Con two years ago, and if I hadn't had my hands full working, I might have made a connection or two. The potential was definitely there!

Cheers

I have an attractive friend who realized in her later years why she'd grown sort of aloof. When she was younger, she used to be fairly outgoing...but every insecure guy thought she was hitting on them when in fact she was just being nice to them. She got tired of having to deal with it (their anger,...

Not at all. I did exactly what the OP did, put in my bio that I had AS, along with everything else about me. I got the most responses ever on OKC, and two dates out of it -- which never happened when I tried to play NT.

Of course its a romcom so most people will overlook whatever it says since its a fact that romcoms cant teach us anything[/sarcasm] Yeah..it's a fairly recent movie too...I saw it in the theater an...
