I really think I would be immune, just considering my lack of emotional attachment to figures its widely accepted that you should feel something toward. |

Wow. I just wanted to say that you should listen to wanderer. As someone with AS I totally relate to your brother and his friend. Guy needs to move out and get away from your parents ASAP if in any way possible. I can't imagine things getting better between them and if he stays he may loose his frie... |

I understand totally. My family can't stand me at all. If I keep my distance they go through periods of telling people they love me and am proud of me, switching randomly to avoiding me and not wanting me near them for months or years at a time. I know I haven't done anything horrible or terribly ru... |

Men still make more, overall. Penelope Trunk even reccomends women spend less time trying for a perfect education and more time doing manly things... like playing videogames. Because it teaches better practical job skills than traditional education alone (teamwork, problem solving, etc). Most people... |

My experience is similar to the new zealand thing. At a small party a girl curls up in my lap and I put my arm around her. The next day we wake up like that and she invites me to breakfast... turns out were now dating. Walking along helping a girl home. She leans on me and her hand drifts a little f... |

Not true at all, that's just your own experience.
If its my experience, then wouldn't it be true? |

Lol. I could understand that. The grass is always greener, and most of the people here are guys.
I won't argue though that I see a lot less complaining from men who marry ASDs than women who do. Those who prefer men seem to be a bit more accepted once they do find a mate. Luckies. |

I'm a guy, and all I've ever had to do was wait. Admitedly, I've gone for years at a time without dating, but then I never really had a problem with that. I think the bookish, shy sterotype works in my favor. I dunno. I just try to seem approchable by smiling at people when they talk to me but not c... |

I know its common for HFAs to live at home or with other people. Especually when the job situation isn't working out. I just find myself wondering how that's possible. Its almost impossible for me to live with someone else without them absolutely hating me. Its not like we argue, outside of relation... |

Its been documented (atwood, complete guide) that aspies may devolip a dark or morbid special interest as a way of dealing with their feelings and fears. Sometimes we wrestle with these things by trying to understand them from the inside out. It's not unlikely that he's interisted in these things be... |

I'd say murder.
People say rape, but if an adult male admits rape/coersion he's lucky if he isn't just laughed at.
At least with murder its horrible no matter who it happens to. |

Apparently, my nickname in college was "creepy *name*".
Yet people thought I was "sweet". Dunno how that works in the NT brain.
I still got along with people and dated just fine though, so don't take it too hard. |

[ ahhh, I was so waiting to hear a such thing one more time from a girl to tell her this: I DON'T BELIEVE YOU. I heard plenty of cases of girls claiming that they would NEVER date/marry a x,y,z man and yet ended up with one of those x,y,z men. Some of the sentences I heard: "I would NEVER date a no... |

Just because they are loosing, that doesn't mean that they are wrong.
Though it does tend to be used a lot in cases where it does not apply. |
