Which 3 Stooges theme do you have stuck in your head? (Note: these titles are not official) Theme A: The one that's basically an extension of the song "Three blind mice". Theme B: The one that has a "bird-like" sound with some "la la-la" strains in it, and ends in the famous "da-da-da da da-da" sound. |

I figure that if they're really stupid enough to be influenced by word of mouth and not do any of their research, I'm not that interested in them as a friend. Ooops, you've just described at least 90% of the NT population. People's minds are easily tainted by ill advice from their "friends". What's... |

It sounds to me like the Social Skills teacher (Did you mean "Social Studies", which is what we have on this - left - side of the pond) or the kid designated as your "friend" or both had a few social skills deficits of their own. This doesn't mean I don't appreciate the teacher's intentions, though;... |

Sure - it's simple, really. In any given situation people will try to create the best possible situation. ... In a restaurant or foreign place where they do not know anyone, but they know you, they will go for what is familiar - you are now the best thing in the environment. I understand that, but ... |

Has anyone else ever observed this strange phenomenon? You run into a person from your regular group (which for this discussion I'll say is a classmate) unexpectedly, like at a distant specialty store or a restaurant. Now thanks to an Aspie Bug bite from a long time ago, you do not consider this per... |

Just make sure he's got a suitable snout or whatever for the bite!

One strategy I heard about somewhere for dealing with parties, is to insist on having a fixed task. Preferably something that's a science (e.g., gathering empty beer cans) rather than an art that involves interacting with people (e.g, walking around distributing cocktail weenies). That way, you're f... |

MAD Magazine once had a piece on this subject. When you're poor...you're the town weirdo. When you're rich....you're the local eccentric. There were a bunch of others. P: You're a glutton R: You're a gourmet P: You breed kids like rabbits R: You're blessed with a large family P: You throw away your ... |

dont forget about the kind of aspie bug bite where they decide they like your candour/no nonsense practical way of looking at the world. Yeah I get that too sometimes. It's been said that I "march to the beat of my own drummer". But was the Aspie Bug bite in question a Category 1 or 0? One way to f... |

It always seems like when a new NT comes on the scene, it feel like I always have to hurry up and get to know the new person before the other NT's get to them and poison the new person against me. They will tell the new person "She's wierd" or "Stay away from her" and junk like that. I like to get ... |

The "Aspie Bug" is a metaphor for the way an NT reacts upon meeting a person with Asperger's. If the person ends up thinking "you're weird!" or such, I say that "the Aspie Bug BIT him". Now if, for example, I was fixed up on a date that didn't go well because of my Asperger's, rather than give a pla... |
