Your scale is closer to my observations than much of what I have read. The comments from btbnnyr are a good idea. Write down your traits. Write down others traits. Look for patterns. To hopefully aid your fine-tuning, consider my amateur personal observations. I am seeing a pattern of two rough cate... |

Tips: 1. Try to get recommended for the job by someone in the company or close with the company. Then, the resume (CV) and interview is somewhat of a formality. This is the secret. 2. Prepare a bunch of good phrases and use them (appropriately) when asked those evil open-ended questions (like "why d... |

Raj and Lucy (Kate Micucci) were just getting started. Bring that back and forget the HR lady. Heck, bring back Kate's buddy Riki Lindhome, too. She and Sheldon were hilarious. Then, Riki can bring Kate out of her shell--plus they can sing funny songs! Other than those kind of changes, I am pretty m... |

I am autistic yet my brother is a store manager of a chain drugstore. He is doing a great job and is rewarded well for running a profitable store. He shows a lot of the common side-symptoms of autism, including alexithymia, very limited social chatting, possibly no friends. Just focus on the things ... |

The US education process (in public school and with friends and family) is very short on development of logical thinking . The example in this thread is the False Dichotomy. "If you are not tall, you must be short." People often graduate from many years of college without the ability to mentally wei... |

I think it has to do with attention. Perhaps for some but not for me. No matter how focused or interested I am, many sentences (verbal or written) are too long. If ideas aren't smoothly building up in a very logical fashion, I will forget the first part. Short-term memory only holds a small amount ... |

Yes. Too much info and color and motion presented at once triggers my "overwhelmed" reaction. WrongPlanet is actually one of the worst about this with the colors and moving ads. There are browser plugins to turn off the fancy stuff and just see the text. I use them sometimes. And, the worst thing on... |

A few aspergers people I know speak in a somewhat forceful, loud tone. A little like yelling. Like Will Ferrell's SNL character who couldn't modulate his voice. Sometimes the speaking continues at length and goes in circles. That perception might be my autism at work, but I rarely do that. I speak q... |

That's even more places to enter time than I have seen. Usually it stops around 3 or 4. Whoa. In those situations, I usually tried to find a procedure for updating them all in sync. Or, maybe keeping track on a post-it note then entering the data all at once, one system after another. There is no wa... |

Yes, I bump or knock my hand into my head, harder than I should but not dangerous. I seem to do it when in a generally positive state of mind. I don't know why and I usually stop myself. |

From best to ok: 1. Select an apartment or room that has as heavy and solid walls as possible--like cement or brick. Then, just have enough furniture, carpet, or similar in the room to reduce echoes. Super. 2. If you have a house, you can build "double walls": two layers of drywall with a couple inc... |

they can spread rumors/gossip they put you down in front of others they can lie and tell managers and people in power to fire you This activity has been in almost every place I have worked. It is the manager's fault for tolerating it. Sure it is usually NTs but some suspected-Asperger's people have... |

Yes.
Dramas and violence and gore are mentally painful. The emotions the film is trying to cause are unpleasant and I will not intentionally abuse myself like that. Life has enough of that stuff--I don't need more.
Comedy is good. |

Individuals with AS demonstrated a social categorization of active but odd , while those with HFA demonstrated a social style of aloof and passive . That is the closest description of the dichotomy I have been noticing in adults . I would add: For AS, louder (monologue and talking over others), in ... |
