This part really got me  "They have an abnormal sensory sensitivity to tone of voice, leading to attention deficits that render them unable to comprehend the literal meaning of words. Neurotypicals are frequently unable to understand that a person asking a question is not communicating anything...

I have it. It can take me months to recognize someone, even if I've met them several times. I'm not able to recognize coworkers if I happen to run into them outside of work (this can be embarrassing ). I recognize my immediate family but I can't recall what they look like from memory. It's awf...

I the mom of 3 either current or formerly picky eaters. Here's what I do: My 6 year old son (HFA) used to have extreme tactile sensitivity but didn't have the motor skills needed to use a fork, so I put everything I could on a skewer stick. His biggest troubles come from discouragement, I think. Both his sister and his brother are reading well above grade level, and he's very aware of this. In most cases, Prosopagnosia is congenital, although there have been cases in which onset of the disorder became apparent after a brain injury. I try to memorize one or two notable characteristics about a person in order to recognize them in the future. Could be their hair, the way they walk, their ...

I have a problem with tags, scratchy materials, and pants that feel tight around my knees. My biggest clothing related problem is shoes, though. I have to have my shoe laces tied to exactly the same tightness or I will seriously freak out. There have been time that I've actually sat down and sobbed ...

In general I don't talk to strangers. It's so uncomfortable; I end up feeling really self-conscious. I'm somewhat better speaking to someone for the first time, if I know in advance that I'm meeting them, but even then I plan in advance what I'm going to say.
