We still have had no contact. He hasn't blocked me from skype or anything-- which I find odd considering we've had no contact. I was reading about how most Aspies have mentors in their life and I realized that I feel like someone coached him to break up with me. My ex was under a lot of stress with ... |

I want to get him back... Can anyone give me advice on how to do it? I know that right now, if I talk to him, it will only make him more mad. Two days ago, I texted him, "Can I see you one last time to say goodbye?" and no response.... |

Thanks everyone so far for the advice... Should this be moved to the Love & Dating Forum so that more people can give advice? |

I don't think you ruined everything. He doesn't believe in marriage and you do. Common for aspies? No, more like occassionally happens with people in general. As mentioned he probably did deeply care about you--but he handled it in an immature way. Love is forgiving.. there is no such thing as a co... |

I don't know why he flipped flop on his idea of marriage. He did admit to me that he had a fear of commitment... He completely did a 180. I don't know why he wouldn't want to marry someone someday that would love him unconditionally. Is this common with Aspies? |

I feel like he did it because he never could accept his Asperger Syndrome... He could never come to terms with it. He even called it a disease and said Asperger Syndrome does not mean Autism. So, I feel that he did it because I learned more and more about it and the more I questioned him about how i... |

Hi everyone... I joined here awhile ago (I'm NT). I joined because I have been in a serious relationship with my Aspie boyfriend for over a year. It was a long distance relationship but that was never the problem. We both enjoyed our space and time... it was healthy for our relationship. Early on in... |

Would it bother Aspies if a spouse wants them to go with them to Church on most Sunday mornings? The spouse would say that (the Aspie) doesn't have to be a Christian or like Church but it would be nice if they attend (with the Spouse) so that it could make them happy and be a social thing (for the ... |

aspie48 wrote: depends how much church sucks. i havent been in a while but there are a lot of posts on here that say aspies don't like the social scene at church. maybe if you agreed to leave quickly it would be ok. and a cooked dinner would probably help too.
I understand that. Thank you for your input |

Hi. I am new to understanding Asperger Syndrome so I apologize for any silly questions that I might ask. I have always wondered, are most Aspies prescribed medicine to deal with their emotions or any meltdowns? Do most Aspies see a Psychiatrist? Or is it that most Aspies are only prescribed medicine... |

I believe I got worse since my 20's and 30's. I do not even attempt to go out of the house or even try to make new friends. Once my parents die the only way anyone will know I am dead is when they smell the stench from my rotting corpse. Why do you feel it got worse? Do you feel it would hav... |

This all makes a lot of sense. He told me that along with being an Aspie, he has OCD... Is this why? |

My Aspie boyfriend is very controlling. EVERYTHING I mean EVERY thing has to be done his way or else he gets very irritated. The music, the movies we watch, the food we eat-- he always already decides what we are going to do. Is this normal for Aspies to be controlling and dominating? I have always... |

Whoever you talked to on ASPartners, they're wrong. You can't hate them for it or anything; anybody can be mistaken; but you've got to check these things before you believe people about them. Do you have access to a journal article database? You can get access through most university libraries; tha... |
