And on a side note, I absolutely love pit bulls. They ARE really friendly when trained correctly, and they're not all that different from any breed of dog. Did you know that years ago, they were second only to golden retrievers as nanny dogs? (:

I know the laws and procedures aren't the same in every state... but I worked at a humane society for a year and we got a LOT of pit bulls, many from animal control. And as far as I know (unless it's different in other states) all animal control does is bring the animals to the shelter. The shelter ...

I love nighttime air... especially when the day is hot. It's the perfect way to cool my room off and make it smell good. As far as curtains, I kind of have to keep mine open to give my cat something to look at during the night. So, while I'm not extremely paranoid about people looking in, I still do...

Update on my Starlight: she's back! (: And adorable as ever. Haha, good to know I've only been guilty of one of the things on the original list... (That would be the very first one, eheheheh.) At least I'm through with that now and I'm still fairly new to posting on WP anyway. c:

Ohhhh that makes sense now. So if you bred a mastiff and a chihuahua would it be called a stiffweenie? LOL. Good one, Rascal. Okay I stand accused of a shallow sense of humor. This is my dog Sunny. I got him on Christmas from the shelter where I worked. He's very well trained and obedient, perfect ...

Thanks for all your encouragement... BTW, if certain recreational substances had a factor in lapse of judgment that led to the 2 consecutive collisions it would be a good indicator that nothing good comes from those indulgences. Not saying, just if. It does happen. That's just the thing - no substan...

Just hold on. I know it seems like it won't end but it will, and there is always something to look forward to. There are people who would miss you if you were gone... if no one else, I would. Even though I've never met you before, I want you to stay.

Ok, I made it sound like I thought AS and social phobia are the same thing but I know they're not. I just meant that having Asperger's can definitely result in having social phobia and they can go along with each other. Sometimes . And I know they're not always a pair, too. Just to clarify.

Not sure if it classifies as true but as a new member I've seen a few exchanges in WP that made me feel the same way as AmazingMess. I've seen messages where members said things like "you're too good looking to be an aspie", "some people want a diagnosis to be cool" and other things among those lin...

When i was your age, I was likely not self-aware enough to rate myself "negatively" enough to have gotten an autistic-level AQ. I used to get very furious when people described the way they saw me and simply blocked it out. It was a form of disassociation, and the only thing I admitted to have was ...

Thanks, guys. (: I feel a bit better about it and I think I'm going to stick with my "have asperger's - self diagnosed", mostly because it's good enough for me and consellors all make me nervous.

Thanks! That's nice of you. I guess I don't tend to post messages that respond to others or that invite responses from others. When I address other posters, I'm a bit scared that I might somehow offend them. So I end up posting neutral-sounding messages. I don't blame you. I probably tend to do the...

Maybe, maybe not. I would think for most people (or NTs) that the food processor and electric can openers are the more lazy options. I think of it as more of a cleanliness trait. And now that you mention it, I never thought about the toilet lid thing. Now I'll definitely continue keeping my toothbru...
