I probably not alone here but I really can't understand why I can't appreciate myself and be satisfied with the job I am working in right now and be envious of those who are the same age as me or younger that are in different professions than me. I think the reason I become quite green when I hear ...

There are many sources (let's say the difference is 8 cm), but this is splitting hairs. The weight of IFBB pros is frequently exaggerated, and one magazine who decided to weigh a few pros reported Jay Cutler's weight as a "mere" 117 kgs completely water depleted and stage ready. That was ...

The big elephant in the room nobody talks about when it comes to deadlifting, is that leverage is more important than actual muscle strength. Moreover, the exercise itself only meassures how much you can lift from just below your knees to just above your knees. That's true for the all of the three ...

The term 'hardcore' in gaming used to refer to a hard game... nowadays the so-called 'hardcore' games consist of 1/3 clicking through cinematics, 1/3 of hiding in cover while your life is regenerating and 1/3 of thinking what's for dinner while mindlessly mowing down hordes of enemies ingeniously p...

170 push-ups is extremely good. I could only do 125 at most back when I still did them, though I was thin as a rail back then. Now I can do maybe 50, I don't know. I'm not about to find out.

[quote="Kurgan"] The correlation between strength and muscle mass is almost linear, except for the fact that the nervous system also plays a role.[quote] That's a huge caveat after 'except'. I have well over a 100 lbs. of muscle mass on Richard "The Ant" Hawthorne, yet he deadlif...

I don't care about being toned or gaining muscle mass, I only train for strength. One of the few bodyweight exercises that's useful for strength are dips, and only weighted. It's a good triceps exercise for switching things up, but the JM press is far superior. Also, when talking about core exercise...

Of course, and I mean no disrespect. Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want; whether it be life after death, Bigfoot, Aliens, pink unicorns or the Tooth Fairy. I am just intrigued as to others' "criteria" for determining what they believe and don't believe above what has bee...

This is what it sounds like when the world is in ruins, your girlfriend has been shot and you're starring in an 8-bit game, so you know the enemies won't roll over and die like in today's games.

I can't for the life of me understand why people are hell-bent on avoiding weights. You want to get strong, your bodyweight alone won't cut it. Same for gaining muscle mass. If you're a beginner and you want to get strong and build muscle, have a look at the Wendler 5/3/1 routine, specifically the B...

I'm in the minority where I think stupid websites like SA and all these insane chan sites should be shut down. Do they serve a purpose? No, the bad apples have ruined the bunch for the longest time for both, and they need to go go away, permanently. Well if YOU don't like them, of course they shoul...

You're only 23 years old. You have lots of time. Please don't walk away--it'll only make things worse. I don't believe in Adam and Eve--but you believe in it--and that's all right by me. It seems as if the economy is getting a little better. And you have at least a little college, I believe--if you...
