There are definitely efforts to help people with ASDs in Asian countries, but it really depends on the country. The different countries have very different cultures and are set up very differently. I've heard that in Japan there are a lot of people with AS; but they are dealing with mental illness ...

smoking-Never... because I have second-hand smoke in the house sometimes ( my parents are smokers)
drinking- picked it up in a family dinner when 14... still drinking with parents' supervision ( i am reaching 18 in about one and a half month)
