Just beware of the friend zone. The friend zone is basically where she only sees you as a friend nothing else. Being in the friend zone basically means it's nearly impossible to get out. Now listen if you like a girl, you have to ask yourself, do I want to be in a relationship with her, just be fri... |

I'm a male NT (share AS traits though), and I want to find out if one of my friends who is a female Aspie has a crush on me. I'll list some of the signals - see what you think! I don't feel that way about her, am in a long term committed relationship, and so want to find out if she likes me as a fr... |

Yup. When alone I can code for 15 to 20 hours straight (except for food...) but when my husband and I are living together I just... don't worry about it. Thankfully he's living far away during the last 3 years of my doctoral program. Well, kind of thankfully. You know what I mean. |

My friends have helped as much as they could. I don't have a big social circle, and the only girl is already trying to help. I'm still trying to find things I like to do that would involve me meeting other people. Still struggling with that last one. I have online dating profiles but as a guy I don... |

There are very common reasons why aspies can't get a relationship. Here it goes: 1. Being negative about everything, especially towards to opposite sex. Negativity scares people away. 2. You are desperate; asking out too often, asking for sex in creepy way. 3. NTs has their own personal problems to... |

Folks, no matter how much we wish it weren't true, humans are animals, and women are biologically programmed to seek out efficient males, leaders manipulate herds and herds of people, ergo leaders are about as efficient as you get in terms of male desirability. Women not only desire men who are lea... |

I disagree that aspie males follow this mindset. While a subset do, I've met plenty who understand the rational response of the other woman. Cultural mores and norms change. Behavior outside of current norms are generally perceived as threatening or undesirable. The older lady clearly appreciated th... |

Were the ones in real life clear that you were asking for a romantic date and not a hangout? I ask specifically because the one who stated she had a boyfriend several days later might have been genuinely unaware of your intent and thought you just wanted to be friends. I say this because if someone ... |

I would suggest perhaps not doing 'non-verbal' flirting, but that's because it can be very very hard to decipher. Perhaps I'm biased? I would take up a hobby - for me MTG and video games rocked - and meet people that way. That allowed me to work on social skills in a low-judgement setting. If judgem... |

I agree with Inle; I too only shave my legs when I feel like it. Some of us have very fair hair. I can go months without shaving and the hair is still pretty invisible. If my husband can't tell it's there I assume most others cannot as well. And if they could, it's not something worth fretting over;... |

I tell a few people: -Those who I interact with frequently, and those I think may already have a suspicion. -Generally I say 'I have difficultly interpreting social cues and figurative language. I may need to ask you what you are feeling or mean. I'm not trying to be rude, I just genuinely need clar... |

yoni Ooh is that a kama sutra reference? Well... I know it would be more correctly a language reference than a book one, but you know what I mean. I call mine wiggedy-wack, lady-bit, fun-pants and so forth. Generally things that are utterly meaningless to anyone else (which is why hand gestures mak... |

And I'm guessing all of you in this thread are the hardest of the hardcore at WoW  Not me at least. I've never played WoW, mostly because I don't like to shell out cash monthly for a game. I can't even afford a 360, no way I'm going to invest in something I'll rotate out of in a coupla months.... |

The closest I can come is completely weird and random talk - along the lines of pickled zombies and such. My coworkers seem very good at small talk. As ever people seem more amused than afronted or turned away that I don't know how to continue a small-talk conversation. I think small talk could be a... |
