Well, in my current relationship, I have a (generally) higher libido than my boyfriend, and we're both on the spectrum. Though at the moment my birth control is messed up so I've had my period for almost five months. OCD aspie boyfriend + non-stop spotting = no sex... :( When we CAN have sex, usuall...

I think that there are no specific autistic "features" per-se, but I do think many autistic symptoms/behaviors can result in a recognizable "autistic look." For example, I think there are specific troubles autistic people have with facial motion. I'm not talking about range of mobility, but in the w...

The way she described it I could see that it was just my son trying not to spill jelly all over his clothes, but, of course, his teacher only saw it as an extension of his developmental delays. God, I hate it when NTs read too much (or too little!) into AS behaviors like this. Or who read too much ...

Hahaha- this is one of the downsides of having an AS/AS romantic relationship. Where an NT would usually sigh and give up, my boyfriend and I both feel that we have to get the last word in.

I think my boyfriend THINKS he is like this, because he never puts anything away, but then he loses absolutely everything. I'm the designated finder between us. I however have a pretty photographic memory, so I can actually get away with this. I try to stay neat, though...(but it's hard when my boyf...

Do you ever wear the same pair of pants/knickers/briefs/boxers for more than one day? Honestly, yes, but only if I'm running low and need to do laundry, or if I just slept in them and then lounge around the rest of the day in PJs... Question: If you had a son, would you get him circumcised? Why or ...

I did not make this, but I thought I should share it with the WP community. Much of our social awkwardness comes from our anxiety and our negative self image.

Ha! Yes, my wife will say, "have you seen my keys?" and I respond with "Yes, I saw them last on the table behind the couch, between the pad of paper near the phone and the remotes. "Where is my belt?" "It's hanging in the closet, closest to you when you open it, in front of the the brown one you ne...

I feel sadness in my throat and my hands. It feels like something heavy and cold is lodged in my throat, and my hands go from tingly (like when a sleeping appendage is "waking up") to painful the more upset I get. My hands don't really start to hurt unless it's a full-blown, no-holds-barred meltdown...

They don't want to compete for someone with a girl that they think is obviously below them in attractiveness. They equate the male with their partner and decide that they must be out of the league of the man who would consider seeing someone they consider to be inferior to them. Yay sweeping genera...

I sometimes do this if I'm not paying attention. I think it's the aspie thing of, even when one makes eye-contact, forgetting to move the face away from the blank, neutral face. Usually when people make eye-contact they smile, even just a little, and just staring without any other face change is lik...

I was originally misdiagnosed as ADD before my AS diagnosis. Looking through the ADD/ADHD DSM criteria I do not believe I have it. I have executive functioning impairments, but I am very organized, never lose anything, and have no problems focusing. What I think is very interesting is comparing myse...
