AHH! The ONE time I miss House!! I just knew when I saw the previews it was going to be about autism, for some reason. I seem to see Autism everywhere I turn nowadays. It's rather odd.. like it's just exploded or something. On tv, in magazines..etc.. Scary.. Perhaps it will change people's view on i...

As far as the dentist goes, I remember being quite scared when I was as old as 13 or 14. I remember having my mom come in the room with me (which was also great for answering questions). Im sure I seemed quite odd, if not completely immature. As far as haircutting goes, I hate it completely. I very ...

I learned at a young age to turn my thinking inward to my mind when It was time to go to sleep because if not, I'd hear small sounds until I went insane and I'd never get any sleep. I wouldn't say I have imaginary friends, but I more or less, write stories in my head. I often use a few of the same c...

I feel ret*d sometimes in the sense that I am extremely immature. I feel like a six year old most of the time. Looking back on elementary and middle school, I was extremely immature and totally clueless about most things that kids talked about at that point. I was always out of the joke. I had a dif...

I can go to bed whenever I want all year (homeschooled). However, since it's so dreadfully hot here in Texas, I usually try and go to bed at about 11:00pm or so because I must get up before daylight to ride my horses.

AS might be questionable, in my opinion. It does seem you have at least some degree of High-Functioning Autism. Or maybe you have AS and you just quickly learned to adapt to social situations, like facial expressions and things. Definatly HFA though. Welcome into the fold, my friend. Are you saying...

In almost everything I have ever read about Asperger's they mention two things which I don't THINK I experience.. One is truly wanting to have friends and fit in socially. Whereas a classic autistic prefers being alone. I personally, have no problems with, and prefer to be alone. Second is needing t...

[quote="Raph522"]Articles include common traits and will usually. most books i have read were more about children with AS (People really should have a better selection of adult aspie books). a lot of the descriptions of AS you find online are parents describing their kids. maybe they think...

I too have a problem with remembering and making myself do it. Where as most people I've ever known my age religiously brush their teeth to death. Recently I got myself to pick up a routine at night (once a day for me is a miracle) where I'll change clothes, wash my face, and brush my teeth. It's he...

I first got into them about five years ago (I guess I was about 11) when I had started homeschooling and my mom wanted me to have an extra activity. I had always been slightly interested in them, but had no clue. I chose horsebackriding lessons (and six months later bought my first horse) and since ...
