I think I'm gonna rather be in a minority here, judging by the other comments on this thread.... BTW, although I was the right age, I never got exposed to the TV series, as Mum didn't think it was the "right sort of thing" for a girl to watch..I remember the theme tune but not much else... Then anot... |

 Well.....I have been playing on "Transformers: Decepticon" and "Transformers: Autobot" recently. On "Autobot" I am Rianbot, a level 5 (or 6 'bot, and on "Decepticon" I am a level 10 Decepticon called Blazer. "Decepticon" is actually easier to play than "Autobots" (because in "Autobots" you hav... |

I think there is a lot in the saying 'Birds of a feather, flock together'. I think it takes an Aspie to know one. I have come to this conclusion because before I knew I had AS, I had made friends throughout my life and the ones I remain closest too are Aspies mostly! It was only after I came out an... |

She doesn't think I'm rainman. It's more sdhe thinks autism=rainman=nothing autistic about me. I think she's scared to read the stuff because it'll set her straight and she'll have to accept that I'm not her version of "perfect" I.E. not NT. Mum saud to me when I first told her "if you've got a form... |

I camn understand your anger, I get mad when I mention I like Pokemon and prople either laugh or sing the cartoon theme tune at me (I mainly play the games!! !) or say it's a kid's thing. No-one likes their interest being ridiculed or belittled. I had a really hard time with math all thtroigh school... |

Ok, that's it. I've had enough. When I was first diagnosed with AS last year, I told my mum who seemed shocked, (as I expected) and said she needed time to come to terms with/get over the shock. I gave her several pieces of infdormation, and left her two books with bookmarks at the points I thought ... |

isn't it amazing when you see these things? I saw things like this about my Dad-his lack of social skills, his intense interest in his obscure hobbies, his obsessionn with routine, his reaction when his plans have something happen to them to delay/change them. I was scared to tell my Mum but I was s... |

What about a brain, with the inside striped in rainbow colours. any lettering couild be in black around it. Somethiong like that. Still gets accross the "spectrum" idea without so much gay connotation. BTW, the "jigsaw" ribbon doesn't seem to be associated with the "curebies" here. No one has said t... |

I had a fascinating conversation with some people in the summer: the subject: you are a survivor of a plane crash that killed 90% of the other people on the plane. the plane crashed in a remote part of Alaska. Your chances of being discovered in the next two weeks is slim. You and about 11 other peo... |

"I have Asperger's....so what's your excuse?" OMG and I saw this shirt the other day that said something like: "If you're Aspie and you know it, flap your hands." haha...good aspie humour... I've seen some great aspie/autism T-shirts. "I live in my own little world. It's OK, they know me here." "I'... |

Smooth silk or smooth cotton. i can't abide scratchy or harsh cotton. I can tolerate cotton/acrylic mixtures but it needs to be at least 50/50. I scour chariyty shoips for silk because it's expensive new but I don't often find it.

My biggest problem is to remember what I'n doing at the time. For example, I'll start boiling the kettle to make tea, or put toast in the toaster for breakfast, do something short to take up the time the kettle is boiling (or the toast is doing) and get engrossed in something else. The tea doesn't g... |
