In the Netherlands, most people only tip waiters and taxi drivers. It wouldn't cross my mind to tip my hairdresser or delivery man. The 20% rule doesn't apply here, either, since minimum wage is guaranteed in every legal job. Tips are usually a couple of euros, or rounding up your bill to the next r... |

I bite my fingernails, cuticles and the surrounding skin. I also rub the rough patches of skin together or against my lips. I've done it since I can remember. |

The least he could have done was make sure you were with your mum before he took off. Try talking to him and explaining that what he did hurt you. Perhaps he didn't realise that you'd react the way you did once he had left. |

I can't speak for the whole of Europe, but The Netherlands tends to be very liberal and open-minded where sex is concerned. It's an extensive part of the curriculum in secondary school and includes more than teaching kids how babies are made. STDs, homosexuality and sexual boundaries are also discus... |

Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
There were so many impossibilities and implausibilities in that film that made it nearly impossible for me to watch. Jeez Louise. |

It seems to me that people either assume that nearly everyone has a partner, and/or consider it rude to say to someone's face that they assume that the person does not have a partner. So, they pretend that everyone does, since that is the less insulting mistake to make. I agree with this. It's much... |

My teeth are the one thing about me that I actually like. I've never had a single cavity and they grew in perfectly straight. I brush them twice a day and go to the dentist once a year. |

Yes. I'm good at reading maps and following directions. As long as I know a couple of big roads, I get by just fine. When I first went to Rome, we didn't use maps to navigate the city: our teachers knew where we were going. The second time I went there, I found that I didn't need a map at all. I use... |

I hate that. Women can belittle their partners and boss them around and shout and shriek at them all day long, but as soon as a man raises his voice against her, it's verbal abuse. You can bet the woman would sue the husband for all he's worth as 'revenge' as well. I don't watch TV often, but when I... |

Could she be playing hard to get? Some girls like men to 'chase' them and pretend they're not interested.
If she doesn't respond to an outright invitation to grab a drink or go out, then give up and move on. Nothing quite as devastating to the ego as being kept on a leash. |

so, yesterday I am playing the sims social on facebook when my godson remarks that my sim is a boy, then asks me if I want to be a boy. I told him to stop asking questions. I don't know what to do with him. Perhaps not the best response. It discourages him from being curious, and he might feel like... |

Big Bang Theory - each episode over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. I can almost recite entire episodes. This, to the letter. I can match quotes to the episodes they were in, plus the episode number and season. NT people think it's weird that I can do that. I think it's weird they ca... |

Since it was somebody you didn't know personally, but who is still more or less connected to you, I'd keep it simple. Flowers and a card with a simple message, such as bergie suggested will always be appreciated. You don't need to say more. The exact words don't really count when somebody's grieving... |

I've been to heaps and heaps of concerts and a good dozen festivals. I've seen Nightwish, Evanescence, Within Temptation and Epica live, as well as distinctly non-symphonic metal bands (Pendulum, The Prodigy, Lostprophets, Rise Against... you name it, I've seen it). The sensory overload (loud music ... |

So, I've come to the conclusion that I have to die. Right now I have things to take care of, but when those things are done. I will go through with it. Don't. Please don't. Nobody has to die, and neither do you. My boyfriend's little sister is a b***h. Stubborn, rude, conventional to the extreme an... |
