The CIA "experts" can't discern the difference between a narcissistic sociopath with ocd in the beginning stages of dementia from someone with Asperger's....and now the public who don't know any better will associate Asperger's with another negatively perceived person in the news. Great. |

Holy crap. No! Unless one has a gluten intolerance or Celiac Disease, going gluten free has no benefit. I'm Aspie and was diagnosed with a medical gluten intolerance a couple of years ago. Not only is going gluten free a shock to the body, all of that change of diet and habit is a real blow to emoti... |

The tests aren't a diagnosis, so according to these tests you maybe have symptoms that are associated with Asperger's. It doesn't mean you have Asperger's. Aspergers is an Autism Spectrum Disorder. There are other Autism Spectrum Disorders......all of which, including Asperger's Syndrome, are catego... |

I choose to live alongside the society in which I am thrust. To me, it is no dilemma. I don't feel an instinctual need to conform to societal expectations, and am very comfortable without being within. Why do you feel you need to adopt any mentality which does not come naturally to you? Can you just... |

While I don't know for certain, I think that Executive Dysfunction due to ASDs are like what I've got, or my son has, which is to know that there is point A and point D but an inability to project how to get there or to conclude what points B or C could or should be. I don't have ADHD but do underst... |

Haha I can definitely see I am the away team. To the other poster - You really have not experienced autistic hypersexuality. You don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about. .....and this is why I do not feel comfortable attempting to converse with NTs. OP, you have no idea what I have... |

I wanted to add this, I have met people in the past who immediately took a dislike to me, who, when at some point in our interactions, some of my aspie traits became apparent, took it upon themselves to explain my behavior to others. It was never in a positive light, at best it was pitying. It alwa... |

Oh also I almost burned his house down. That would be a deal ender for me. BTW, I don't understand the NT need to vent feelings without actively seeking either comfort, advice, or to learn something. It sounds to me you want validation. You're not asking for the former, so I won't offer any. I won'... |

Shall we just pretend that actions have no consequences then? Will we pretend that no one is ever hurt unintentionally by others? If it helps people understand how others feel about their actions how can that be a bad thing? Maybe it will help others not make the same mistakes. Maybe some of these ... |

It is difficult to read all the disparaging remarks people are making about family members who, despite having to grow up AS and undiagnosed, raised a family and then are considered to be abusive because of their intrinsic Aspie traits. The few posts I read showed me that overly emotional people can... |

I know this type of post is not consistent with the other types of posts in this section, but the category is "random"... and this is rather random: Chickungunya and Dengue Fever have been in the news in the US lately. They're saying the diseases are becoming more frequent in certain regions of the ... |

I like the bouncy balls that light up when they bounce, hula hoops that make a whizzing sound, scented bubbles (my ex tells me I should put glow stick liquid into the bubble mix some time), and without objects I like to jump around and spin, I like the feeling of scratchy sand on my bare feet, or sq... |

I think most people have that same problem, unless they're practiced at reading aloud, like politicians, school teachers and people in the media are. |
