(she loves zombies and will inform you quite plainly that she is a ‘vegetarian vampire’ and just what that means), Ok, that is completely awesome. I would love to hear her description of a vegetarian vampire. And who doesn't love zombies? :) I think that a full evaluation sounds like a good idea. L...

Hi Carmen. :)
We originally thought my son's diagnosis was SPD as well. He was diagnosed SPD at 7 and AS at 9.
Hopefully, you will get a solid diagnosis for your daughter so you don't have to deal with the doubt.....as if that ever goes away for a parent. :)

F the fact that I can't keep friends is my weak point with my self esteem I cry for days about it, and take every time it happens to heart and take it as a strike against what I am. I've had so many people stab me in the back with nasty intentions, cruel intentions and just plain dickheadness, its ...

I'm sorry it is so rough right now. Throw me in with the "I know exactly how you feel" crowd. I just lost a friendship after 3 years. A friendship that it took a lot of energy to maintain....I think a lot of us know how much work it can be. And after all I had invested for so long, it just ended...a...

As a child, I was considered by many to be willful, spoiled, lazy, and arrogant, along with other less-than-flattering traits. After a while, I started believing them. Finding out that I was communicating differently and thus causing the misconception of my character made a big difference in my lif...

That exact feeling is why I decided to finally register here and start posting, instead of just reading, after 2 years.

Loneliness is the worst. :( If I were a hugger, I would totally hug you......would a really genuine and empathetic high five suffice? :)

Hi. I have been reading the posts at Wrong Planet forever and decided it was time to actually register. :) I was diagnosed with AS by my son's psych in our many family appointments trying to get a proper diagnosis for my son. Getting a diagnosis was a bit of a relief....finally having a name for the...
