LeeJoseph. In good humor and with best intentions I must point out that your last post mirrors a christian post complete with "scripture" quotes but in your case from the Big Book.

At the risk of sounding like a total techie "nub" but at the same time dealing with my aspieness I must ask if you can more clearly tell me how to get on chat. Hopefully there is a way to sign on without a third party program but it seems to be the only option for me. I know I don't understand the w...

Recent thoughts on recovery. I use symbology as Temple suggests (for her it's "doors") and this helps me understand my own thoughts. Here is a connection between "The Horse and the Rider" and a story I wrote about the recovery experience (so far) called "The Phoenix Rising". ------------------------...

Forget about the test...not enough associative horizon. I'll come up with my own.

If I were a Disney princess I'd be Rapunzel from Tangled. She's got the "Asperger's".

Yeah I'm a guy so I'll go there....If I were a male toon I'd be Quasimodo or Rafiki.

I originally learned on a typewriter in HS yes. How could you tell I was leaving two spaces behind every sentence? Let me guess, some kind of web interface.

Please confirm this one for me. Is it not proper to leave two spaces after a sentence when writing? Is this just for forums?

Labels are a good thing in terms of personality types in my opinion. But as a whole we remain unable to be catagorized even when our personalities can be labeled. The key is that we are not just our personality. Our personality (this includes intellect) coupled with our experiences make us who we ar...

A nice quick way to identify an NPD online. Facebook. More than a normal number of "friends". Will add almost anyone and consider it a fanbase. Excessive number of self pics/somatic pics (shirtless, bikini, full kissy face, vapid stares at the camera, etc). Excessive number of posts about everyday e...

I too was in a promising position regarding work before I graduated college although my focus on education was much lighter hence I enter...

Look at the aspies in action! A fountain of knowledge. The best thing about this site is that when I ask any question it is sure to be answered. Sometimes I don't even have to ask and I get an answer. The best questions are those that you didn't even think to ask. I have a lot to learn about social ...

I agree with you LeeJosepho. I do not want to make the mistake of generalizing. I saw that this program helped many people as they shared victories in their testimonies. It must be empowering to feel that God is on your side when you fight something as looming as addiction. I also know of a group ca...

I feel the need to add that I know that this system does help people. Some people need this type of service, this particular method specifically. But I detected a myopic self-preservation amongst the "professionals" that ran the program. All other factors were excluded except addiction and the only ...

My family first became aware of my severe depression when my boss called them to ask if I was still alive. They entered my home and found me locked up in one room, peeing in bottles, eating pancake mix straight out of the box and washing it down with cold water for sustainance. Clearly there was a p...

*I feel the need to properly introduce myself in this community as I have recently become aware that I am officially a part of it. I recently posted an original story of mine on the "adult section" of this site. I was directed to post the story on this forum as well and even at the risk of being redundant I think it is good advice. It's a story as well as an introduction so I may post it once more in the "intro" forum. Please e...

Thank you for the edits. I don't take offense at all and in fact I encourage you to delve into your "aspieness" and help me to better communicate in writing. I am severely undereducated. More like non-sequentially self-educated. This applies to my writing especially. So I'm fitting pieces into the p...
