I think academia is a good choice for anyone with AS. I have moved into it as a second career (I was a criminal defence solicitor) really enjoy it and my obsessive behavior is 'normal'. In fact most decent academics seem to have AS or HFA tendancies. I think that you will you will do really well. Ye...

You don't mention which country this is in. In the UK + EU there is discrimination legislation to prevent sacking someone because of sex, sexual orientation, race, religion or disability. I believe the situation in the US is far more geared towards the employer. If this took place in the UK to set u...

I was 21 - took me 4 years and 6 attempts...but finally passed and actually don't mind driving now although I do find that I have to concentrate on where I am going otherwise I will just drive to a random place.

Thanks. I think that once I have plucked up the courage to go to the GP I will have to write everything down...and I guess I better start saving.
