I tired them & they didn't work for me. I took eHarmony's quiz/questionnaire thingy a couple different times a year or so apart & I got rejected. I think most Aspies would get rejected by their questionnaire because eHarmoney caters to the more average successful normal person. That's prett... |

Am I the only one who wishes there just was a book, website, etc where you could read all about a person including details they wouldn't normally share with you and determine if it was worth it to be social with them (or attempt to date them) then all the confusing business with conversations, makin... |

I'm a gamer, enough said, I have always utterly enjoyed making characters, stories, everything you name it. Dealing with reality is the problem. |

I can get pretty nervous on the phone to a point where I have actively refused to make neccesary phone calls because I didn't want to speak to somebody over the phone, I am far more comfortable with emails, instant messages, etc. Once I start using voice chat online, about a decade and some change a... |

I'd say either move in with your parents or find friends in whatever dorm building you live in, having a few of them that can be understanding might help you cope with specific issues or at least give you a sounding board. |

Naturally, yes. To get past being selffish has been a long process with me, even finding "normal" levels of compassion, empathy, etc. Nowadays, depending on the person, I have far more then your typical NT. |

Varies, just don't assume something bad about not having eye contact or call them on it unless you absolutely need their eye contact for something. Don't assume they aren't paying attention for lack of eye contact. |

CD or mp3 player is a good idea, unless its somewhere where you are utterly expected to engage with other people then it wouldn't be rude to do shopping, for example, while listening to music at least until you got to the check out. |

A good portion of the people I know have aspergers, bipolar or something. In one case they are blind. I would admittedly have trouble forming an adult friendship with someone with a considerable intellectual disability especially if they weren't capable of understanding anything I wanted to discuss.... |

mp3 player or some other form of distraction perhaps? I take buses and such all the time but it can still be stressful if an unexpected situation occurs such as not being able to find my money for the fare quickly enough, the driver giving me a bunch of crap all of the sudden, etc. I generally like ... |

Yea if its a strange kid that might make me a bit nervous, if I know the child or at least their parents or whoever they with it probably wouldn't make me nervous per say. If only because in this day and time the situation could lead anywhere, they bump into you and suddenly you got parents say you ... |

Yea I had more trouble with that when I was younger, to a point where people would physically grab my head (usually roughly) and try and point me at the object. For me now I don't think its too much worse then the average person, depends the circumstance, object, etc. |

Good luck on the meeting people, its extremely difficult. Maybe if you have a mutual friend or something you could be introduced, that might help. You might also ask yourself why this specific girl or was this just an example of wanting to simply to talk to someone, etc. Common interests are usually... |
