In my experience the counsellor will often close off the sessions when they feel you are ready.
I suppose it depends how busy they are.
If you are finding some benefit and can afford it, why not continue.
No harm in it either way.
Maybe discuss it with the counsellor?

LilLoki I know what you mean! Fortunately (or not) people usually just look at me as if I'm speaking rubbish. "You can't tell", or "I would never have known" or "Are you sure?" The world just isn't set up for invisible differences so I end up coming across as hysterical...

I'm curious what your symptoms were. My son has a very bad gut and we are on the FODMAP diet which has helped immensely, but I feel we could tweak it more. He still has many days in bed and lack of energy. He tests normal to everything!

It was drawn by my son to illustrate my username. I thought it was funny.

Has anyone else experienced a major change in their overload symptoms? My body seems to have subconsciously switched. For six ling years I had diarrhoea ( yuck) which kept me pretty housebound and when I worked hard to get rid of that with therapy and drugs etc it seemed to switch to tears. Which wa...

Wow! I know just cutting out the music and announcements would be a big help for concentration.
Can't beat personal experience. It is an eye opener for sure.
What country is that?

Hmm, in this case I came home. Other times I may have to continue with my errand. Eg. If I'm waiting in the Dr's surgery.

I tend to overload with tears or shutdown with silence where I lose my words.

I had a situation in a chemist today where I overloaded due to noise and bad service and other things. My problem is that most times I can navigate shopping OK with only body symptoms later at home. But occasionally I can't and I never know when that will be. Aside from wearing a badge, does anyone ...

Don't worry, you are not alone! I feel like this too. I think my love of closeness and intimacy suddenly becomes overwhelmed by my revulsion of bodily fluids :-) So keep the kisses short!

I've always said if I had another life I would be a fountain designer! Water in all its forms fascinates me...the sound, the way light bounces off it, the smell of the ocean, the soothing touch of water, etc. I stand in the shower and get lost in the beauty of the water droplets sliding down the gla...

So often it could be my nickname!

I tend to see it as a pejorative description.

Which caused me to write the following poem to show its beauty.

Intense
Deep woods
Pure gaze
Whispered words at night
Fierce love
Summer days
Beauty: framed by light

Marshall you could have been describing me! I often feel like a split personality as my more outgoing side says Yes! to ideas/projects and then the quieter logical side freaks out at all the details and puts the brakes on. I want to meet with people for chats and have coffee and travel, but then my...
