I have my license but I don't have a car. I haven't driven in a few years. |

The last time I did, I discovered there's another guy with the same first and last name as me but a different middle name who was arrested in another state for illegal drugs. |

Something that surprised me that first time I was told this is not all therapists fit all. You're not stuck with the first therapist you go to. If you're not comfortable with a therapist, you can always switch. |

As for wanting to get out of your parents place, you try and get yourself on a waiting list for subsidized housing where only 30% of your SSI check will go towards rent. The other thing you can do is scour the Craiglist and find someone with a room for rent (there are people doing this looking to pa... |

I had a childhood diagnosis of Autism but was re-diagnosed with Asperger's about a year and a half ago. I lived in denial about it for quite a while. |

How I got SSI is nothing like Rascal77s's. I applied for it last year in January and was approved by July. I had to see one guy who was a psychiatrist and a lawyer in April, I recall. I think having a formal diagnosis with a report that suggests I need help transitioning from living with the one par... |

I've dealt with this kind of behavior too. It's always I'm walking and minding my own business and then someone decides to honk at me and/or curse me out and/or say something that comes off as incoherent for no reason. It does piss me off every time it happens to. The most I do about it have a meltd... |

Nope, no active life love. I had an online relationship once but then I broke it off because there was no chance of ever meeting her because she would never meet me halfway on most things. I eventually said some things to her that pissed her off to the point she didn't want to talk to me again. And ... |

Oh, dear, MindWithoutWalls, I got your username wrong before. I'll edit that so I get it right. I thank you for your piece of advice. I find it useful and definitely something I'll be reflecting upon for quite a while. |

I never knew such a card existed. I know when I deal with the police anymore, the first thing I say is say I have Asperger's (before recently Dx'ed, I would say I have Autism though I haven't dealt with any police since an incident last year that I don't care to get into right now). |

I read through your post, MindWithoutWalls, and found it insightful. I have mentioned my older brother in a few other posts in the past couple days. I pretty much hate the guy. All he ever does when it comes to me is to complain about me non-stop as long as I remember him. Half the time, the guy onl... |
