We tend to text the more difficult to discuss conversations. It gives us as much time as we need to respond without the pressure to respond immediately one has with face to face conversation. We've been talking more as well and it's slowly improving. I wondered for awhile if it was worth all the tro...

I can relate! My aspie BF and I frequently misunderstand each other. Neither of us is used to being very communicative so it's been a lot of effort to try and improve communication. We often ask each other for clarification like "What do you mean?" and when we hurt each others feelings we try to exp...

My boyfriend and I are both aspies, we are constantly hurting each others feelings unintentionally. This may sound terrible but when I offend other people I don't really care, most people don't seem real to me so I don't care how I affect them. This relationship is important to me however and we bot...

My boyfriend and I are both aspies. One might think it would be easier for us to forgive each other for emotional blunders or misunderstandings. It seems to be worse however. We constantly misunderstand each other, and hurt each others' feelings. I'm terrible at communication, I seldom know what I'v...

I'm starting classes on the 7th and every passing day I feel more anxious as the day draws near. I know if I don't feel prepared or if I'm late then I'm likely to meltdown. I can't speak for you but if I was even a little late for class that would really throw me off and I'd probably have a little f...

Not only do I clench my jaws when I'm in an emotional situation but I do it all day and night. I had chronic pain from it for years until I figured out what it was and got a mouth guard. Do emotional situations make you very anxious? I'm highly anxious which I suspect is the reason for my constant c...

I've been diagnosed with social anxiety and generalized anxiety disorders as well as bi polar and anorexia. I've been called a robot most of my life and I just thought it was a personality trait. It never occurred to me that I was insensitive until I married my second husband who has quite a long li...

I was pretty firm about not wanting children. I've always seen them as crying snot/vomit bags. However I got pregnant at 15 and felt I should be responsible for my actions. I kept my son and I wouldn't change that for the world. I can't say I'm naturally nurturing. I read a lot of books so I could u...

I think I behave and think more male. Most of my friends are male and have said many times I'm "Just like a guy!". That said I'm quite happy to be female. Regardless of my behavior and thought process I like to look girly. I love being female and would never wish to be anything other than what I am.

I take Clonazapam for panic attacks, which is somewhat helpful.
Also I pace or rock myself and I find that comforting.
Music is also a good distraction for me and allows me to tune out the people around me.

Thank you all for the help. I don't want to give up before I've begun.

I too need a lot of time and space to myself. I've had many long term relationships. I only recently experienced romantic love however. When someone cares about you they can often learn to understand your need for space. I find the big difficulty connecting to someone in the first place.

I was a prostitute for many years. The flexibility of the job allowed to to be with and financially support my children as a single parent. I'm not religious and see nothing immoral about it. It is not however a job for everyone. I'm at a stage in my life where I couldn't do it anymore. I was too ja...

I've always been attracted to "geeks". Talk nerdy to me! "Normal" People are so tedious, I like people who are 1) Intelligent and 2) Unique Otherwise I'm bored senseless.
