I'm really tired of "ass burgers". I once wrote "asperger" on a paper and asked a German man how this surname would be pronounced in his language. It was more like "ospercare". Or it might be pronounced "asperdjers", and it would be the same as a proper English word for somebody who sprinkles water ... |

Well, they still have that puzzle-piece logo. |

Yes. She wants her supervisor to know that she was exiting the work area to take care of a hygienic emergency, not something that could wait until later.
She's accountable, probably more so than you were hoping in that instant. |

It reminds me a little of my own factory work experience. I had a temporary gig at a factory once, which I didn't like very much. A factory environment is not one where I shine and it wasn't one where I really desired to stay. And the job was only temporary. There was one of those "big toddlers" on ... |

Hotel Night Auditor is a slow-paced job. I can tell you this because I am doing it currently. I could tell you a lot about night auditing, but I think the Wikipedia article about night auditing explains it well: I would post the address of the article but this message board is not permitting me to d... |

Yes, its definitely water off a duck's back. People like her watch for reactions to pick their prey. So you'll want to keep your reaction somewhere between being too positive and too negative. To stay employed, you will need to fulfill the requests and be accommodating. But you probably don't want t... |

This is a question that I am asking out of curiosity. I know that the community of aspies works in an incredible ambit of fields. If it can be mentioned, an aspie must be doing it, even human resources for God's sake. But I'm hard-pressed to think of another field which, in my opinion, is more neuro... |

I had the problem that cornelius6 described in this thread. I was unable to breach the HR barrier. After years of interviewing and trying, I lost the interest in engineering which I once had. I'm glad to have let it go and studied accounting, instead of going for a PhD in engineering. I am a Certifi... |

Engineering is a great field for many people. It just isn't tailor-made for aspies, contrary to popular perception. Like I said, it is great for people who are good at managing interpersonal relationships so that they may succeed in things like selling things, finding new a new job after a layoff, a... |

I don't think engineering is as much of a good career choice for aspies as it has been hyped up to be. I know from experience, having an electrical engineering degree which is of no use to me whatsoever. Back in the roaring nineties, when any engineering graduate could find an easy niche in the prof... |
