As a menstrual activist I'd point out that regardless of your sexual orientation, sex or gender there is nothing 'disgusting' about menstruation and implying otherwise is disrespectful to us women as it in turn implies that our bodies are 'disgusting'. There's no reason in this day and age for a wo...

I love winter too. Shoveling snow isn't any fun, but I love cold weather and I think snow is beautiful. I grew up in the south and never experienced more than a couple inches of snow until I moved up here to NY. Even though I understand all the science behind snow, I still can't help but feel like i...

http://www.fop9.net/markmacphail/debunkingthemyths.cfm Though i would not have trust the last link. (I do tend to trust the news to a dregree, but i don't trust random sites which do not back up their claims) I preferred the two previous ones. Thank you for the information Fangirl, I appreciate it....

This is why I tell people I have autism if the topic ever comes up. I never say I have AS. I didn't speak until I was four so I don't think I am truely AS anyway. I grew up believing I was AS becuase at the time AFA and AS were considered the same thing. I was diagnosed with AS at seven so I'm "leg...

IMO, people are more important than ideas. It's amazing how, if you can agree to disagree and still be friends, how many people will make you an exception to their views that are different from yours. Sometimes you can change another person's mind and sometimes they can change yours; it doesn't hap...

I've never even tried. I dislike the idea of public transport because I need to have control over when I go someplace and, more importantly, when I leave. I can't even stand to get rides with other people. I have to take my own car so I'm not stuck.

I avoid certain topics. I avoid all politics and religion. Problem solved and lot of people have issues in this area where someone disagrees with them. It even ruins friendships too when people let different opinions get to them. Lot of people are pretty much black and white in it. They have a hard...

The difference I've noticed between the Asperger's thing and other Glee things though is that with other things (like Tina dressing goth or Kurt just being a homosexual) the Glee club stands up for those people. It's presented in a way where the group of misfits rallies behind them whereas this time...

I agree it's not a very productive attitude. I'm definitely not saying everyone should agree with me on everything or that it's reasonable to expect they will. I know they won't. I think I mostly feel like I've failed to judge their character correctly and it's disappointing, if that makes any sense...

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. I don't know if it's AS related or not. I have a really hard time coping when people I like and respect hold different views on topics that are really important to me. For example, say I have a friend and we're having a conversation and it leads to a to...

As for 9 witnesses, there were only 10 witnesses who saw the shooting of the cop, though one of them did not see the shooters face. That still does not make any sense. 10 is not 9. You should read the links I posted. I am reading them, and as i said one of them didn't see the guys face, another did...

How many of you who think this was about race live in Savannah? I grew up there. I have seen more racism up here in northern NY than I have seen in Georgia. Savannah is about 50% black. The majority of the jurors were black. Reasonable doubt is subjective. I don't think there's reasonable doubt and...
