Cool... I am enjoying it so far. Although there is the FB-esque social component, I am also finding it a great way to meet new people simply by searching for your interests and adding those people to your circles.

I just deleted my FB account, in fact, this is the second account I have created and deleted. It wasn't really due to the people (although there is always the occasional drama), but rather I don't like the direction that FB is going in. Anyway I have taken to posting/socializing on G+, and I was loo...

I've been following this story, and most of the research going on at CERN for several years. And I really hope the recent findings are corroborated simply because it would force us to reexamine many of the things we have long accepted as fact. These types of threads are amusing to me simply because ...

Thanks Richard, my last post was written before I read yours...

Great analogy, and yes that gets at the "root" of my question/concern. Thanks for your insight, it does help...

I guess I'm not doing a great job articulating what I mean... I know that there are facets of my personality that are distinctly mine, I'm just having trouble figuring out which ones are actual preferences that I developed on my own, independent of the AS, and which ones came about because of the AS...

I'm not sure if this is a question, or just me needing to get some things out of my head.. I've just recently found out that I have AS, and for the most part I feel relieved that there is an explanation for me being the way I am.. but there are also a lot of nagging questions that I have about who I...

lol i still find myself explaining my behavior.. i think it is a habit that is hard to stop. even on here i get sweaty and shaky when i anticipate talking to people. I think a few years ago I would have felt the same way, but one of the nice things about getting older is that you start caring less ...

It makes me wonder, how many of the quirks in my personality are Aspergers related and how many are simple quirks? It's funny, I just came here to ask the same exact question... I just found out that I have AS, within the past week... And I have been wondering ever since then what parts of my perso...

yes, it definitely is...
I am still finding it odd that I don't really need to explain myself all that much for fear of people thinking I am a tad "off"...

Oh, and since I've found this site I have been pouring through the forums. I am sure that I will be spending WAY too much time reading through every post, and every reply... That is kind of what I do when I stumble into a new forum that interests me... Earlier this year I kept a tab open in my brows...

For the very first time in my life, I feel like I've found a group of people that I can relate to. I've always felt that there was something different about me, and even after being diagnosed with depression, ADD, bipolar, etc I still didn't feel like those things fully touched upon why I've always ...
