I don't know what I'm talking about half the time, so take everything I say with a pinch of salt!... I found out about a local Aspie/Austism group in my area that go on trips to towns/cities every month or two, and went along not knowing really what to expect. I found it really useful - I didn't fee...

I read elsewhere something along the lines of: "you can spend months chatting with someone on a dating site, but within two minutes of meeting them you know whether its likely to work or not". I assume that this means that you might instantly realize that there isn't really a "connection" to be had ...

Hopefully I don't do this in work, but I do the stare thing when in my room (when organizing blu-rays or whatever). I had no idea about this until I decided to film myself for a few hours going about my business (camera was on a tripod at the far end of the room). On playback I noticed that I did th...

I've decided that I would really like to work part time rather than full time - things would be so much more enjoyable and less stressful. However I can work full time and need the money hence that's that! Just knowing though that I would rather work part time in itself cheers me up for some reason!

Hi Daisychains11, I'm really sorry to hear that things didn't work out between you :( He obviously cares a lot for you to try to avoid hurting you, though he's went about things the wrong way. I agree with everything AScomposer13413 said above. While I know it won't help you feel any better, I have ...

I've recently turned 35 - and at times its like all my previous efforts have got me nowhere, and I tend to be emotionally up and down like a yo-yo at the moment. However realising that I've gotten nowhere is something in itself, I'm slowly making small changes while being more forgiven of myself (I ...

I can relate to being expressionless - yesterday in the lunchtime cafe I usually go to (both to be alone and because I'm alone) the person serving me asked me why I was so gloomy today (or something like that). I'm now wondering whether I always look like that when in full robotic aspie type mode! (...

I'm not sure if this helps any (and I could be talking nonsense as per usual), but.... I consider myself to be reasonably smart compared to most people I come across. My "thing" was getting websites to appear high up in the search engines - I got several sites up to positions 1 to 3, and they remain...

I was thinking about what to say here - then I happily realised that that was all I needed to say here :)

:) lots of points, hence quickly... Collectively my mum and I couldn't afford to stay in two places (parents seperated some years back). No, but perhaps I'll meet her at the weekend! Yes - today I spent a whooping £7 in there! Some of them even know what kind of sauce I take without asking (tomato)....

Can I have the chocolate chip one? One other thing which causes me issues is that I'm 99.9% sure that I'm an aspie, and recall (during primary school) "doctors" of some sort mentioning aspergers - but I don't have a diagnosis hence there's an element of doubt. Being an aspie would explain all my wei...

I'm lucky in that I've got quite a small but close knit family. I stay with my mum (despite being 35), and frequently see my sister and her kids (and my brother every few months). I realise though that this isn't the same thing as getting on with people at work (which I generally don't just now) or ...

Now that we know Dumbledore was gay, does anyone know who his partners where?

What about the owner of the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's stone?
