If you're taking the most challenging classes and still find schoolwork extremely easy, then good for you! Pursue your interests, extracurriculars, or something. For example, learn to program, learn to play an instrument, do art, spend more time socializing, learn to fly an airplane...whatever inter...

Not anymore. Once I tried to cut my own hair and it turned out to be a disaster. In the middle of it, I literally ran off to the barber and begged for help. Needless to say, it was embarrassing. "Why did you cut your own hair?" "Well, I thought I should at least give it a try." Thankfully, the barbe...

Poorly written opinion piece. I'm surprised it made the New York Times. The title and the points it conveys make it seem like more like an article from The Onion . Did I misread the article or was the author diagnosed by his mother? Hmm...no emotional bias on the diagnosis there... </sarcasm>

Oh. Then why are they changing it? Or does nobody know and that's what the fuss is about? Probably because of all the misdiagnoses and the criteria is too vague. It's sort of like the new ADHD... I predict that one day, doctors will check for neurological 'abnormalities' for things such as ADHD and...

I get the same thing. For me, the anxiety is just my struggles in getting myself out of bed, which is something I have to fight with myself about every morning. I don't anxious when I can just wake up and get out of bed, which is rarely.

Same here. Professionally, I need to be social to succeed in my career. Personally, having connections and relationships with people is satisfying. But it's tough...

Short guy here. My height is around the height of an average woman. It sucks. Short guys are able to blend in with the crowd. Tall people aren't. Men get it too, but are fortunate because it's more "socially acceptable" for men to be tall. I don't think Solvejg is talking about relationship problem...

No. I don't like cold weather but I do like cool summers, like San Francisco summers where it is cool and foggy. Cold is still preferable to hot though since I can always put on more clothes. In hot weather, there is only so much clothing I can remove in public before I get arrested...

The thing about those websites is that you have to be wary of people who gave bad reviews just because they got a bad grade. It's a good resource but take it with a grain of salt... Generally, the easy professors have the highest ratings.

Strange. At my college, people were made fun of for buying NEW books. That was back when people actually shopped at the school bookstore though. Where I went to school, we had a joke that the bookstore was for freshman and transfers. Everyone else bought used books from online. Some even pirated th...

Do you know how hard it is for some of us just to accept the prescription "Just get to know them". I was in a seminar tonight where we were told to "cultivate relationships" with faculty. How do you do that???? I try to stop in to ask about things or ask about feedback or advice but it seems that s...

I have upper-middle class friends who buy used books and then sell them back on after they use them. I buy used books just because I'm poor; I like the old book smell; I like the highlighting and notes other people wrote in it, and it feels used... There's something about "used" that feels magical.....
