Thank you for the advice. Turns out they do not handle ASD at all here but I got a referral, which is the good news. The bad news is they charge $2175. They do not do payment plans and they only take military insurance. They did give me a name for another place that MAY BE MORE AFFORDABLE. apparentl...

When you say that you hear voices, are they coming from people, places, or things?

I will admits. Simply said yes, the I'm not deaf was why I answered yes lol. I tend to give short answers because talking to strangers is stressful. I can't afford a private burg, so I doubly scared of this public clinic. What exactly should I list? Should I tell them about my early dx and why I hav...

I haven't been here in a while, but found out some things of late that have sent me looking for an official diagnosis in the us. I have a childhood diagnosis of Pddnos, and my older sister confirmed it. Furthermore, she told me the reason I have no paper trail is because my mother burned my medical ...

can anyone just make me feel better please? Life is sh***y, life is hard, and most often it is our family who treats us the worst not the better. But trouble does not last always, merely because we do not allow it to continue. One way or another the way to get out of that hell will present itself a...

My hand writing is atrocious. No matter what I have tried. Not to mention that I dislocated my right elbow in the third grade and was unable to write for almost a year, that just made things worse. And after a minor stroke a few years back, my actual diction and proper use of grammar has been affect...

Empirical work inspired by this approach has mainly focused upon the speciÆc limitations in autistic individuals' concepts of mental states per se–states such as those of thinking and believing (e.g. Baron-Cohen, Leslie, & Frith, 1985), desiring and pretending (e.g. Baron-Cohen, 1991c), and fee...

I tend to "bite" the utensils as I put food in my mouth How do you not bite it? This confuses me. You actually bite forks and spoons when putting them into your mouth?!?! Most people don't? Then how do they get the food off? My wife says that most people just take the food off the utensils, without...

Well of the little that I know, I got a letter from my old doctor in California that stated that I was unable to work due to psychiatric reasons, but she did not mention my PDDNOS diagnosis. I was able to get food stamps that way. Not sure how everything else works, because I got denied for SSI twice.
