"By all means, don't assess the situation, you halfwit! Just jump into the fray!"

~Dalronn the Controller, World of Warcraft.

My favorite boss in WoW--I can really identify with the poor guy!

 *Upon rereading my first post it appears to be critical. I didn't intend for it to be. I was just trying to offer advice and come up with alternate ways to look at the situation. I need to thank you for this, it made me go back and reread some of my earlier posts. So, thanks! OliveOilMom, af...

I'm sorry the counselling course didn't yield all you were hoping for. In truth, many (if not most) NTs will downplay or hide their feelings around people they don't know well to save face, as being emotional can be seen as sign of weakness to them (especially men)...it's regrettable that this ment...

OliveOilMom, I'm not referring to whether or not the people in the counselling course liked the course, but to their refusal to talk about things in their life that would have prompted them to sign up for the course in the first place. According to ThePortraitPainter, being open with your feelings i...

Gossiping makes me extremely uncomfortable as well, no good comes of it. The only advice I can give is to avoid it as much as possible (without coming across as rude to the people gossiping, if they're trying to include you), and to not feel guilty when you're not involved in the gossip. Why feel gu...

Your post is kind of confusing, but from what I can make out, it looks like you may be experiencing déjà vu. If that's the case, it's perfectly normal - pretty much everyone will experience déjà vu at some point. Read this and see if it's at all similar to what you've been experiencing: http://en.wi...

@Astraea: Hello there! I had considered joining WP since 2 days ago, actually. I have seen this site before when researching about the disabilities of the spectrum before, but I hadn't been planning to join. Well, I think you made a good move, the people on this site seem very friendly so far. :) I...

i had the opportunity to hear Alex speak and learned of the website recently. it has been a great resource for me so far and it's nice to hear from non-judgemental people. I couldn't agree more, it's been so refreshing to hear from people who aren't going to judge me for my apparent inability to su...

I'm not quite sure what would cause your head to hurt from thinking...are you sure it's not a stress-induced headache that comes on as a result of all the thinking? I've gotten stressed from thinking too much, and I find that the best remedy for me is to take a very short break and grab a quick drin...

Welcome to WP, you two! I'm new here as well, and I will agree that socializing online is much, much easier than socializing in person. How long have you guys been considering joining? I first discovered WP a couple of years ago, but I only just recently got around to creating my own account.

Group projects always get under my skin. Depending on whether or not our instructions were thorough, I'll either be the person pulling everyone else's weight, or I'll be the clueless one scratching my head in the corner. :?

Well Teddy2, I think you came to the right place. I'm new to WP, but from what I've seen so far, the people here are very kind and inviting. Your feelings of loneliness are quite common among people in the autistic spectrum, and I believe that talking about it with others in the same situation is on...

One myth I see fairly often is that all autistics will throw a tantrum and/or go into a frothing rage when plans change. I can't speak for everyone with ASD, but I am more than capable of handling change in a much calmer manner. :)

I know Rift gets a lot of hate, but I'm really enjoying it right now during the leveling process. I used to play WoW, and one of my biggest complaints about that game was that I would have to manage 10 characters if I wanted to try one of everything. Rift has only four classes, but each class gets e...
