I have lived in a college dorm for the past 3 years. The first two years I had roommates. One who I really got along with as I knew her in college and two where it really wasn't a compatible match--she was too messy and very emotional. This year, and hopefully next year, I have a single which worked... |

I'm a psychology major, I plan to get a Master's in school psychology--I like to help children, the field of education, and I like the testing/measurements aspect of the job. There is a misconception that if you do psychology, you must be people-oriented. The truth is that if you really liked resear... |

I am the same way, my high school teachers hated me for it. But I tried the first semester with pen and paper. The problem I ran into is the professor was talking faster than I could write AND I would lose the paper I wrote the notes on OR there would be drawings on them from getting distracted or m... |

I played with legos, but never really imagined as they were HP legos so I just built what was on the box. I played with barbies when I was younger than 6, I usually played that with my sister. Then I would play outside, riding my bike and rolling down hills, sometimes going on the swing. In regards ... |

I don't smoke, I think once you start it is harder to quit (I've seen this with my dad and his struggle to stop smoking). Also I have asthma and I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.
There may be things worse but just because something is worse doesn't mean you engage in the lesser of two "evils". |

I don't know how my voice comes across, I have a feeling it comes across montonish and my volume is very low, mainly because at meetings that I lead I think my voice comes across as disinterested in what I'm saying and they get bored easily, I don't know what other people hear (maybe I should record... |

My dad pays about $540 a year (so basically a tax, as there is no copay as we go along) for the whole family, I believe its taken out of his paycheck at the beginning of the fiscal year. He is with the United States Army so my medical care with the insurance we have is free. It's a good thing to bec... |

I think the difference lies in the location because that is not how it functions in the United States, as there is an understanding that you may not have family or you may be estranged from them. Also, that you may not be close to anyone or have kept a relationship with someone that knew you from yo... |

@ davidgolfpro: A parent doesn't necessarily have to be interviewed. What if your parents were dead? Would you be unable to get a diagnosis then? You generally just need either for you to recall personal experiences or records for school personal, or even someone that spent a lot of time with you. A... |

Unless your a large research university I wouldn't expect that anyone on your campus could do an assessment for Asperger's. But check your Disabilities Office. I have extra time, separate space while taking exams, and computer use during exams and class. It doesn't really help for the anxiety during... |

I have in middle school a lot, but that was just crying. I did shutdown a lot in high school though, I tried to tell my psychiatrist and the school staff that one of my classes made me really anxious because it was loud. They didn't believe me. So I basically shutdown and scratched my forearm till i... |

I'm great with kids, hence why I want to be a teacher. I don't know why kids like me though. Maybe it's because I get on their level.
I do like babies. For some reason babies like to stare at me. I don't know why... |

I would like to have children, but I want to adopt them. I would prefer a boy with special needs or a group of siblings. But I don't want to adopt them when they are a baby, probably the age range of 3-14 would be best.
I already love children, hence why I want to be a teacher. |

I really don't think it matters who it's harder for, I hate when people compare who has it worse. Everybody suffers, is it really necessary to pick apart each aspect to determine who has the worst life. If we applied who has it worse to everything the world would just be a pathetic group of people ... |

It all really depends on the need of the student. If they need more than the regular classroom can provide then they are able to go into classes where there is more support. It's all about the Least Restrictive Environment for the student. Perhaps it was a Special Olympics team, the season is about ... |
