I've been seeing the same therapist for ten years now, since I was in high school, and I can't even imagine not having been able to work through issues with her. She was really cool/helpful when I found out I was an aspie, too. |

For my facial expression people normally think that: I'm giving them a death look if I look in their direction, but sometimes sadness if I'm staring into space. I don't really have (many) natural facial expressions, so I force them most of the time, but when I don't feel like it, people look at me ... |

I've heard that before, many times. "Psh, you don't have Aspergers!" Thanks for discounting the stuff I deal with, and at the same time acting like no one could have Aspergers and be anything but whatever stereotype they have in their head. |

I use it for migraines, insomnia, and anxiety. In my experience it's not good to rely on constantly (ie: every single day even if you don't really need it) because smoking too much can cause anxiety, but everyone's different. It is the only thing that helps me with migraines that isn't addictive and... |

I've been on it for four and a half years; I started at 100mg and I've been on many other doses, too (75mg, 50mg, 37mg, 25mg). I'm currently on 37mg (not an official dosage, but a pill and a half of 25mg), because once I got down to 25mg, it was just too low of a dose to really help me. It helps wit... |

Some psychologists and psychiatrists (and doctors of all types) would rather believe uniform generalizations by NTs than lived experiences of people who actually have the conditions they refer to. The idea that no aspie would ever be anxious walking into a store is definitely untrue. |

No way. Music that would be too loud to be comfortable with (it's different if I'm at a show of a band I want to see, but it feels out of control in other settings), dancing... I wouldn't even go if that stuff was free, let alone ones they charged for. |

on Saturday night, my friend was having some bands play at his house. He asked me to come over a few minutes early to help set up, so I went over, and it turned out some other friends of his that I'd never met were there. I never have any idea how to act in group social situations, so I ended up fee... |

I can't stand wearing layers. Makes me feel claustrophobic in so many clothes (and I'm not actually claustrophobic). I even had to take off my jacket reading this post because it made me feel so stifled/trapped. |

The only people I can really stand close physical contact with are people I have at least a bit of a crush on.
I'm the exact same way on both accounts. |

I do get these random transcendent glimpses, and afterwards I always feel like, "Why can't I be like that all the time socially?" It would never last a week or anything for me, though. |

Yes, I've always felt this way about Curb... and certain Seinfeld episodes, too.
I also have a hard time watching Breaking Bad for this reason. Not the gory parts or anything just the awkward moments. |

I was never able to pass my test. I failed two times because I was nervous (thanks to my social anxiety) about being in a car with someone who was judging me Yes! Except 3 times in my case, ha. As unfortunate as it is that you had to deal with it too, it makes me feel better to know I'm not the onl... |
