So, we're supposed to "psot" things other people agree with by reading their minds? This is silly. But thanks for the response, Tennis Fanatic.

Would someone please be so kind as to tell me what "psot" means? Thank you.

This story probably made the paper because the outraged parents called the newspapers. When my son was abandoned on the preschool handicapped bus, I called the newspapers. Then I sued the hell out of everyone involved. I assume this girl's parents are going to do the same thing. My son's case was se...

Some studies claim that Omega 3s prevent post partum depression as well. The idea of taking fish oil during pregnancy makes me feel queasy even now, though. I doubt I could've kept them down during my pregnancies. Flaxseed caps work for me, and they have an added benefit for pregnant women of preven...

I just hope they don't deport the guy from Belarus. He does fit the stereotype of the bomb-throwing anarchist, with his white-boy dreadlocks.

I'm 46 and haven't really had a career. I worked for the last ten years in healthcare, by accident. I wound up in charge of a small staff, making good money, but had a recurrence of panic disorder, then major depression. Now I'm trying to get on disability. I used to write poetry all the time, but t...

I hate being photographed or recorded, also hate mirrors, except... when I put on my clown makeup and transform into Dozo the Clown! Everybody either loves or fears clowns. Nobody expects a clown to act "normal." I don't even have to speak if I don't feel like it, just wave at people. I don't have t...

My mother is very sociable, but she is a chronic nail biter. Also, she can't touch her fingers to her thumb independently. That's a little test the early intervention team used on my son when they diagnosed him. I don't know my father, but he is an engineer and I'm told very cold emotionally--any ma...

I don't think the difference between syndrome and disease is merely semantics. It's a very important difference. A disease has a definite cause and may be curable. A syndrome is a different ball of wax entirely.

I love my husband and children, my pets, my brother and mom, my close friends, even myself. I think self-love is the hardest for me. I didn't know I was an Aspie, kept getting told I wasn't trying hard enough, lots of rejection, etc., which I internalized. It didn't help that my mother's second husb...

Back when I was able to use scented products I used baby products or men's products. Now I have to use scent and fragrance free only. I can't even use deodorant, but I've found witch hazel works pretty well. There's also a "crystal" which is just alum, and unscented. One crystal lasts for years. How...

And I'm middleaged! I took an online quiz in the name of science. At the end of it, I was offered another survey on stimming. I figured I don't stim, but even that would help the researchers. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I have something like 20 out of 30 stims. Pretty surprising. NTs ...

Practising a martial art/meditation helps many people with AS stay calm and keep from being overwhelmed. I do t'ai chi, and my son does aikido. Going someplace peaceful is always better for me than going someplace stressful, like an amusement park or a city. My son has an AS diagnosis. He learned ev...

It looks like this boy had a fascination for knives. Apparently his parents let him have a knife collection. This might be a harmless activity for a country boy or girl. When I was a teen, I liked to whittle with a Girl Scout knife. As a parent, I have to ask, what were this kid's parents thinking? ...
