It might be that this person is just using you for company when he doesn't have any other, which wouldn't be OK. In your position I'd try to bring it out in the open and have an honest talk / written conversation about it. Make it clear that this is important to you and bothering you so that you re...

Thanks, you guys. Okay then maybe I am expecting too much. I thought aquaintances were apt to ask after a sick friend in passing, but that friends might seek out a friend to inquire. It's confusing to me because he calls me his BEST friend. No, he isn't my boyfriend... heaven forbid, lol. In ...

I'm feeling sad today because I must admit I have lost a friend. This has happened before, and I wish people would speak plainly, but they don't. It would be easier for me if .... when someone doesn't want to be your friend anymore... then they just say so, plainly. This friend has been backing away...

I love 2pac

I think he was adorable. I could watch him all day.

I like other hip hop and rap, too... mostly melodic rap with either meaningful or clever lyrics.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lennon was trying to get a better sound by lying on his back to sing. He was notorious for shredding his voice by singing songs out of his range and by being a perfectionist. He hated his voice because he thought it didn't sound full enough; listen closely to songs where ...

Well Sid's greatest realization was strict rigidity to an extreme was unhealthy. I think he made a good choice in that regard. I once read that certain Buddhist monastics are instructed to go into town and eat meat and even go to brothels periodically (once a year?) for that reason... that attachme...

Today's music has heaps to offer. Indie music has allowed for a lot of exploration that record companies didn't allow in days past. I credit George Harrison (and Neil Young) with being the first voices againt the all powerful record companies. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think George's "Only a Northern S...

I wish I could see footage for that! : ) Revolution is the coolest song. I like the White Album Revolution (slow tempo) and the 45 single version (fast)... but my favorite is the version with the video. It has the John scream at the beginning, but the bop shoo be doo waps, too. The best of both worl...

College was tough for me, too. The first month I couldn't even look up from the ground long enough to find my proper classroom. My suggestion is to try an art class at school. Often there are all kinds of people expressing themselves all kinds of ways artistically. Once you are engrossed in a projec...

I've been to conventions, too (long ago!). I even won the art contest once with a Beatle themed watercolor, and placed another year with a John Lennon speed tufted rug. : )

as a public service to all the good beatles-loving WPers as well as the rest, below is a neat story about the origins of the beatles tune " fool on the hill "- it turns out that the song " fool on the hill " has an "etymology" that is quite complex, but is rooted in a weird paranormal incident when...
