I have this problem with my mom a lot. :\ She's always accusing me of being rude, and most of the time I'm not doing it on purpose (I say most of the time because sometimes I am acting like a brat on purpose- what do you expect; I'm a teenager! :P). She's bipolar herself and tends to overreact to th...

It seems at times that I need to stalk these people in a way, by watching them and wondering how depressed they are. I wish I knew how to talk to such distant people, but I can barely talk to the people I know well at times. I know exactly what you mean. I remember my middle school guidance counsel...

I have to write papers/study for tests at the last minute to do well Same. And I always have to write them in a particular way, too- I start a draft on the computer, print it out, and write on it like crazy the next day in school. Then that night I type the handwritten stuff up and add more to it, ...

I chose C-3PO (I had a bit of a crush on him a couple of years ago... yes, really), but I also love the robots on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Meh, apparently it's turned into some sort of 'fad disorder'- people will be all, "Omygaaaad, I'm shy and sort of socially awkward- I must have Asperger's!" Personally I haven't seen it much myself, but whatever. It is annoying, though- because of this "phenomenon", people are often a lot more likel...

Your post is interesting, but you really can't "stop" having Asperger's. Either you didn't have it before, or you still have it now. I'm not saying that I don't believe that you made all the changes that you did, I'm just saying that it's quite possible to have been an NT the way you were before, or...

I'd guess that 'underground' refers to its secrecy, not its actual location. You know, like an underground movement or something.

That's interesting... and a lot of people aren't willing to admit it either, I'd bet. :P

I was fifteen when the school psychologist told me I didn't have it because I didn't hate people, and sixteen when the autism specialist told me that the school psychologist was an idiot.

I would always play drama-filled games about war and strife... though I don't buy that it's an 'Aspie thing' either. It makes us all seem so violent, hehe.

Right now, I only regularly watch two shows that are currently airing- House and Avatar (yes, that last one is a cartoon on Nickelodeon- deal with it  ). I also really enjoy the US version of The Office (never seen the original...), but I usually wait until my dad buys the DVDs to watch that....

ARGH! I've been looking for these everywhere ever since I used a pair that worked very well in Florida (it was on an airboat... the noise of the motor was so loud that everyone had to wear them), but I've checked Radio Shack, Home Depot, Best Buy, and basically every electonics store you can imagine...

I'll do this a bit... though I definitely feel like I'm living my 'real life' to a full extent as well, so it's all good. I know that many people- mostly adults, and often people in the mental health profession- will say that at a certain age/point in your life it becomes 'unhealthy' and 'not normal...

My favorite TV show ever is The West Wing - I doubt I'll ever find a show that I like better, or even as much. Right now, I only regularly watch two shows that are currently airing- House and Avatar (yes, that last one is a cartoon on Nickelodeon- deal with it  ). I also really enjoy the US ve...

I don't write fanfiction, but I read it quite a bit. I don't think reading or writing it is anything to be ashamed about, really... even if you're not creating your own characters and settings, it's still writing, and therefore good practice. I'm not into 'shipping' (for the most part...), and there...
