Calls it insufficiently rigorous and inadequate as a reference point for research.

Stunning!

Yes, it serves only as an example of the lack of empathy the NT's have for a diverse group of people such as ourselve I agree that we need to have more sympathy for parents of severely effected kids. But, I also agree with the comment I've quoted. Logos are supposed to facilitate identification and...

Glad to find others near in age here.

Thanks for this thread. Not feeling so verbal tonight, but can so relate. I am 60 and only figured out my Aspergers last year. Haven't gone for an official diagnosis -- seems a waste as I am already retired. Also had the experience years ago of being steered away from it by a psychologist who had se...

I don't know about the asterisk, but I definitely hate the puzzle pieces.

The asterisk looks similar to the "wheel of dharma" that is the universal symbol for Buddhism. Doesn't bother me as I am a Buddhist, but might not please some people for that reason.

I think this is just the most obvious sign of Asperger's from an outsider's point of view -- offending people without meaning to (not being able to predict and avoid saying or doing what will offend people) and then not knowing how to recover or make peace. Regardless of how it feels, it is 99.99999...

Yes. On one of these tests was a question that said, "Do you ever feel like you don't know what to do with your arms?" I just about jumped out of the chair when I read that. My first thought was, OMG,HOWDIDYOUKNOW? Then I took a breath, and that was the exact moment I went from wondering to knowing....

Yes, and the older you get, the less people like it. I try not to go to meetings of any kind anymore. It is better for everyone if I just stay home. There's a cartoon I like, which says, "Those who fail to study the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it, and those who do study the lessons of hi...

Just figured this out last year. I am 60 and retired already, so there doesn't seem to be any point in trying to get it made official. What I do know is that this explains so much, and knowing has allowed me to quit holding my breath. Gobsmacked!

No official diagnosis, but....

I'm 60 and feel like a kid in an adult's body all the time. But, I think being an adult is not about feeling, it is about taking responsibility for yourself and the circumstances at hand. An adult gets up to help. An adult doesn't wait for others to fix things. There is a Buddhist song for kids that...
