Hang on to the things that you love! My dad's like that with my brother David and me when we watch cartoon shows and play video games. I told my mom this and she said to not listen to Dad. As long as we keep our grades up, then we can keep watching what cartoons we want. |

You're not the only one. I did it alot as a kid when I was excited about something. I still do it now, but I recite things when no one's around. I would usually download the audio version of it and listen and repeat it so my family won't go insane since I rewind and replay things over and over alot ... |

I was diagnosed when I was three, but no one really told me about my Learning Disability that slows my processing skills until I was about 18 years old when my mom was talking to someone about my disability and how I am in class. A year later, I was diagnosed for having mild anxiouty Disorder. And I... |

I'm just wondering, but has anyone watched a certain show or anime series that makes them stim? Whenever I see a fight scene in an anime show I like, I can't help but stim by moving my right hand around like crazy where I'm holding my favorite stim toy and acting out the fight with the half broken w... |

Interesting. I also have to stim sometime when i listen to music. Music can have a very big effect on me. I never do that around people thought. I feel like some musics are really realeasing my imagination which makes me trim. I think what you describe here is a specific sort of triming, very diffe... |

The only thing I can't stand in family get togethers is the noise. Like people talking over top one another, along with the sound of the TV being turned up to try and drown out the noise that doesn't work. It bothers me so much!! |

Sounds distract me the most. No matter where I am, if someone is talking while I'm doing something like writing, it will throw me completely off which annoys me to no end! That's why I bring my mp3 player with my RCA earbuds that block out all of the sounds I can't stand listening to. They're a life... |

For as long as I can remember, I would always stim with my hands. I began to flap my hands recently when I have to go to the bathroom really, really bad, if I see something that makes my skin crawl, or if it's something that I don't like that I find creepy, then I'll flap. Before I forget, I have a ... |

Their's this one song from my favorite Japanese heavy metal band Maximum the Hormone where the song is called 'Bikini Sports Ponchin'. ' While listening to it on my earbuds, I'm able to hear everything from the guitar playing, down to the bass doing its awesome riffs. I don't bang my head to it, tho... |

As a kid, I use to make these things made of nylon plastic and broken pens I played with all the time. I didn't know I was stimming until a while later when looking at things on youtube. I then began to find other stim toys that were smaller and more managable for me to have. I now use rubber wristb... |
