"I think if anyone thinks his book is just about sales, they haven't actually read it. "

I thought the book was aimed at salesmen, and as I said in my post, not only did I read it, I memorised it. I listed my problems with the book in my post.

I didn't decide to not follow literal Christianity after some great theological study. It was just based on desires, what I wanted. I wanted to have sex, and I also wanted the freedom to explore other religions...and not to force myself to be anti-gay, anti abortion, etc.

The worst book I ever read was in my hotel room. I flipped it open at random and landed on a passage talking about smashing babies' heads against rocks! Unbelievable that this stuff is published as reading material. those Gideons have got to stop leaving their cheap horror novels lying around hotel...

I haven’t been to a Christian church service in over twenty years, but last I checked, ‘thou shall not commit adultery’ was still a commandment and sex outside of marriage was a mortal sin. So, my question is, how do you reconcile your religion with your sex-life? … because, to me, it would seem to...

I don't want to get into the "oh aspie women are so lucky because they all easily get husbands to take care of them" stuff, I don't know what it is like to be a woman so it would just be wrong speculation. But the stuff on page 1 with the cartoon did ring true with me. I know I missed a few chances ...

I hate "rah rah" people like Anthony Robbins. Talk is cheap. It is easy to say "I am an extroverted, high energy Alpha personality with a high IQ. You can be just like me" It isn't true. I personally found Robbin's books great for helping me "go and and get things", have confidence and not defeat m...

I read the book before I went to uni, I was very scared of meeting new people at uni so I memorised the points. As is the case with others on this thread, it did not help me, It came off as dull and un-natural and a friend even commented to me with irritation that she noticed i pretended to care abo...

I searched some sites on BPD relationships to see what it said, i found it quite descriptive of my relationship. Some of it not, like making up lies and crazy stories, but some it rang very true, like always breaking up and wanting back and changing being extremely loving or pushing away. And always...
