I'm actually often the 'sarcastic one,' and one person in my group says I always talk in a sarcastic manner. Must be all the broccoli. |

I'm doing French for my A-Levels (qualifications in England and Wales,) and I've also studied Spanish and Welsh. Also hoping to self-learn Latin soon. |

I have a lot of patience, so it takes a lot to get me angry, but I do feel anger once I'm pushed over the limit. Even so, I've learned to control my temper so people don't even know when I'm angry half the time. |

Given the poorer connectivity of the autistic's brain, yes, it will improve those functions which require a great deal of cooperation from various brain regions to be carried out (i.e., Executive Functioning, language, social skills, etc.); HOWEVER, with the same token, it will likely also decline ... |

I have very good spelling, hence why I've been called a 'walking dictionary.' It's hardly savant standard though; I still make mistakes. |

Interesting, definitely.
The thing is, I'm all for them finding out the genetic causes of Autism/AS but they always have to go one step further and think about developing a 'cure.' |

I'm fairly short sighted but I haven't had an eye test for several years so I'm not exactly sure how my eyes are doing.
Sorry if the text above is too large. |

I don't think people mean any harm when they do this. It's a way of initiating conversation, and it might help them relate towards people with AS. Just as long as they don't go overboard and claim that 'everyone has AS' or something like that. For example, my sister tried to claim that I didn't have... |

I don't hate all NTs. Stereotyping them makes us as bad as the group of NTs who believe everyone should be normal, and those who aren't should be 'cured'. I think because many Aspies have had bad experiences with certain NTs during their life, they tend to group all NTs together as intolerant, evil ... |

I am a mix between Einstein, Numan, and especially Carroll with some traits of Morissey (except the artistic skill.)
Edit: Just read the above 2 posts and I see your point...the Spielberg type doesn't seem AS at all. |

I only feel like making a short post here: AS and autism have most likely been around for a very long time; the apparent increase might only be because diagnoses have become more accurate, and there's been a general increase in awareness of diversity. Also, I feel it's wrong to label it as an epidem... |

Yes, it's been a huge relief in my life to find out about AS. For many years, I've struggled within myself; realising I'm different but not knowing why. I used to think I was not making enough effort to be 'like everyone else,' and if I kept trying, I would suddenly be able to be normal. Of course, ... |

My sleep pattern has shifted towards being semi-nocturnal. I rarely get to sleep before 1 am, no matter how early I have to get up the next morning, so I'm usually still up well past midnight. Having said that, I usually sleep well once I do drop off. |
