I wonder if this is what SETI people are tuning into? Again, great description of the tick thing. Maybe it is a Glitch or bug in my operating...

Tick, I borowed the term from web browser games they advance in a certain time frame, usually 1 hour. They call them ticks so I figured my perception might follow that kind of pattern. The ticks I skip may be more than 3. I only say this because, as an example, someone walking in the distance seems ...

Yes, the speed up in time is what I call skiping a tick. A tick being a unit of internal time perception. At one moment I'm here at the next I two ticks later. Everything seems to jump forward for me but stands still for my outward percieved reality. The sound is what I call hearing sunlight for lac...

As usual, I took the teacher thing literally. As you have said I often experience through nature or people the "aha!" thing and suddenly "see" something differently and thus "learn" (love quotation "marks"). I also see a mind picture of a circle of people sitting on the floor around a ba gua diagram...

Excellent information, many similarities with Taosim in that hamony and balance are the ultimate virtures. Also, in self development one must attain harmony in the body before proceeding to the mind and then the spirit. These are the Three Shperes or Treasures. However we learn of the universal prin...

Excellent information, I appreciate your work. It will take me a while to digest this. You seem to be knowledgable on these aspects. Are you formally trained?

The force or entity, for lack of more appropriate words is exactly what the Lao Tzu refers to when he says the Tao is the forefather of the gods. For humans a "god" is a mental emotional construction invented to do what they think they cannot. Al the God's of established western thought are beings t...

Yes that would be great. I have focused on Taoist concepts and know little of the eight fold path. It would be great to learn what you know. All true knowledge comes from the same source. What I was trying to explain earlier was that according to my experience at this time, the tao cannot be compreh...

Not really a bummer, just you. Curiosity is a great thin but if I had to understand all I am curious about that would not be good. I take alot of things on others experience unless I decide that a certain topic really reqires a close look/see, then I bring the mind to bear on it until it intuitively...

books, rocks, thrift stores, dumpster diving, history, psychology, holistic medicine...?! with the exception of the dumpster deal, I am drawn to all these things. I uess my hobbies and reading center around processes. I mean the way things work and the processes involved not necessarily the final product....

I know what you mean, we have to be still while the "mud" settles. I memorized chapter 16. repeating it is a great way for me to return to the stillness of my natural self. I've heard it said that the Tao Te Ching has a self selecting audience....Look it cannot be seen, grasp it cannot be held. Unde...
